So i can look at diagnose the problem can you tell me what operating system and browser version you are using.  Also tell me where you went to change your avatar.  That will also diagnose the problem.

If we get internet connectivity I would like it so I can make sure it is fixed.  It could be a lot of variables weirdly it might be the image too.

Again the more information I can get the better (browser, os, what steps).  

I have a feeling what it may be but I want to confirm it before I write out a few page explanation with a hopefully working solution for people.  I don't' want to work out a solution that doesn't fix the problem :)

Without getting into why it works once I realize what was happening for most people I figured out what a work around.  The long term solution is to have the avatars update the web site – short term solution is located on forum post Changing avatars in the forum and website.

If it solves your problem – GREAT we are done for now.  I will work on making the avatar more straight forward later but in the mean time make your avatars changes :)

If that doesn't solve your problems please tell me what steps you did, browser, and os you are running and I'll gladly try to figure it out.
