I've been thinking about posting a meet up time for a long time but my vision been too annoying to get something to be written down.

In general – it's going to be hard this year to get a good time because a lot of people are volunteering and helping out convergence so they may not be available for a time.  I would rather people volunteer and miss the meet up than try to work around it.  Volunteering is important and helps the community in general

Also a lot of people (including myself) because of way July 4th is landing who normally would get the thursday and friday off aren't getting it off we either are going to be doing the half day or not coming that day at all.

First off Fursuiting meet up -

My recommendation is to do a meet up for suiting at night because we don't know how hot the weather is going to be.  At least if it's hot inside we can have the suiters walk outside. 

Looking at the schedule at http://schedule.convergence-con.org/ I normally would lean towards a Saturday Night but we have to avoid the Masquerade at 7PM.  Because of that avoidance we would be around a 10PM to do it on Saturday to be able to make sure everyone who want to be involved for suiting can get suited up.

Second Off General Meet up -

Again a Saturday meet up is an easier I'm throwing out Saturday at noon in the courtyard with the fursuit tail as a "stake" in the ground.

THIS IS NOT THE WORD FROM DOG SO MAKE YOUR OWN SUGGESTIONS.  Please take a look at the schedule and make your own recommendation.

Actually, even in volunteering promoting a message is still a really good idea.  Put together a time to do so, avoid later evening as things can get VERY busy,  Maybe something in afternoon.  Maybe inform GPS of a request to do a photo shoot on patio.

The biggest risk of an afternoon (think noon to 5) is not getting people it's the heat.   Since we have no fursuit headless lounge and unless someone is willing to have a low easy access room we are going to have to really just plan a simple "one shot" photoshoot and let people break up at that point. 

If we would be doing an "afternoon" shot the best lighting would be outdoors.  IMHO – The patio of the GPS would be very cramp if there is a more than a couple and get a good clean shot.  I would recommend a quick run outside for the photo shot.

A group and fursuit meet up can happen at the same time but separating the times (like by an hour or more) will allow people to socialize. 

While a night shot is not ideal (room parties, panels, and dance are at full blast) even on a hotter day the outside air would more likely be able to cool a person down.

Actually if we want to do it early.  Do it early the 11:00 AM to 11:00 AM slot doesn't have much going on so not only will there be easier time getting people together you won't have as much heat problems because well it's not as late in the day.

And that should allow people who are volunteering to be able to participate.

So really for the "Fursuit Group Convergence" shot and walk around i recommend around 10 AM or 10 PM Saturday.

I''m a lone voice here I rather here a few other people who have schedules when they would like it.  But that is my two times I would recommend from my random stream of conscious.
