Update 2.0!!!
Just to inform everyone, the fursuit bowling will be changed from January 23rd, to February 6th. Same time, same place! If there are any questions please let me know!
Again the date has been changes to FEBRUARY 6TH 2011 and will NOT be on January 23rd!
UpDate!!!
What: Fursuit Bowling
Who: Everyone! Fursuit or no fursuit, join us for the fun! We always love people taking pictures as well!
When: Sunday February 6th at 1:00pm-3:00pm
Where: Classic Bowl in Coon Rapids (11707 Round Lake Blvd, Coon Rapids, MN 55433)
Why: Because it's awesome and we all need to get out of our house during these cold winter months!
Looking through the posts it seems that Sundays work best for most, and I do think it is cheaper to bowl that day as well. We will be meeting there around 1:00pm on Sunday February 6th and most likely take about a half hour to an hour to get everyone set up and ready, and have an hour of bowl time. Of course you're more than welcome to bowl longer if you like. For those of you with fursuits, they are just fine with us using our feetpaws when we bowl, those without will be required to bring their own or rent from the front desk. All in all it will be about $6 to bowl per person. Water will be available to all but I please ask if you are going to be eating please do so away from the fursuits!
After bowling is finished I thought it would be nice if we all headed over to Bakers Square for some late lunch or some pie! Just a chance for us all to sit down, relax, and enjoy each others company.

I was also contemplating doing a winter fun outting for both suiters and non suiters as well, with sledding and the like. It could be a good oportunity for some pictures as well! And to just get out of the house and enjoy that crazy Minnesota snowy weather we all love to complain about so much. Let me know your thoughts on all this! The winter fun outting would most deffinantly be fallowed by a group dinner for some hot food to warm up!

Sounds like fun! We don't have a lot of other things planned for jan/feb and I'm sure a lot of people are going to want more excuses to get out. Cabin fever is going to be bad this year due to our horrible winter.
Bowling is fun espically for a place that appreciates our business and is fine with the fursuiting. That is a diamond in the rough.
I like the idea of a sledding/snow tubing event; but with suits I dunno. If its a place that rents tubes and such it might be an extra step with PR but I'm more worried about people damaging their suits. Bowling is one thing, contact sports not so much :).
But both are good ideas! Even without suits a sledding/tubing event could be a lot of fun. I guess if people know there is a high chance of their suit taking major damage… But Ill leave that up to your judgement, only a thought on my part…

Yeah, pretty much always up for suit bowling. I suppose Saturdays are best for me, at least for now. Might be getting a new job… I'm going to try to keep my Saturdays open, but don't know if I'll be able to. I'll probably have Sunday, though, if not Saturday.
Actually, if I know the date, I can probably get it off anyway.

It's been a while since I've been bowling so I would go. Our parade unit has been unofficially confirmed for the 29th of January so I would avoid that day in particular. Otherwise, for me personally Sundays work best.

For one, you guys are so darn nitpicky. Obviousely I meant 2011 and not into a time machine to go back to 2010. x_x As for the reasoning, a good friend of mine, who is a local fur, is having her bridal shower on this day. (she only found out the same day I set the first date, so neither of us knew beforehand, and her aunt is the one setting it up.) And myself, and a few other locals will be attending (no, that's not an inventation, it's not an event, it's a private manner.) So, I felt it would be much better to have it at a latter date so we would all be able to attend. So that's my reason for changing it =) But it wont be changed any longer, and Classic Bowl has also been notified. Hope that clears things up!
