This is our annual cosplay mall raid. It's designed to be fun and welcoming to all. This is our third year in having this fun event, and we want everyone to come for this, including fellow furs who love anime and having a good time.

The entire event will take place at the Mall of America, as it always has been, and will last the entire day.

It starts at 10:30am where everyone will meet outside of Barnes & Noble. From there we will walk around and go to different shops and anything else to make people go, "?". Now even though this is a fun event, there are some rules that need to be followed.

1) No fursuits, or cosplays involving masks or props/costumes that would cover your face

(This is because, this is apart of mall security's rules and also apart of the law. This means that if you wear anything that would cover your face, you may be asked to leave or worse. So remember, don't cover your human face.)

2) No costume, means no costume. Please dress appropriately.

(I know that most people would think twice about this, but there are some cosplays that reveal too much. So please, make sure you are wearing something, even if it's not cosplay.) 

3) (The most important rule of all.) You DO NOT have to cosplay.

(I'm gonna repeat this, cause a lot of people forget this.)

(Even though this is a costuming event, we do not to limit people from coming in anyway. So remember, COSPLAY IS OPTIONAL.)

Also, you may invite friends and family members along for this event. Since this event is close to the holidays, we want those who are close to you to enjoy this event as well.

And if you have a camera, bring it, because there's are going to be plenty of moments to take pictures.

just as a reference, there is a exception in the law that makes it legal to some extend (mentioning this for reference purposes only as MOA will NEVER likely let us fursuit in their mall). The exception is for entertainment purposes or incidental (you dont realize it) or something like that, and these are the 2 parts of the law where we can get around it for being out in public in fursuit.

Well, I know about the restrictions, but I just keep remembering that their rule is that they can't let anyone in that's covering their face. Mall security out there is really strict about it. I learned that the hard way when I cosplayed out there as V from "V for Vendetta".

The mall, being private property, can enforce its own rules; they have chosen to enforce a rule that disallows covering the face. Of course, they will say it's the law and not a rule just so it is easier to enforce.

Agreed. I want to make sure people can come to this event and talk about whether they will be coming and as what? Other matters belong elsewhere.
