OfflineUpdate: Aug 15, 2012
Event: Fur in the Clouds
Date: September 2nd, 2012 (Sunday)
Location: Godfathers Pizza, St. Cloud.
Location: Google Maps View
Time: 6:00 to ~9:00 (they close)
Requirments: Come, relax, have fun. Oh and if hungry order food, they like that!
Notes: Full suiting is not possible, but i was told Ears/Tails are okay! Since they accept holloween dressers.
With a few faces popping up in the St. Cloud area, along with those already familiar, I wanna throw a get together for everyone. Get the opportunity to get out of the house, meet your locals, and maybe plan for upcoming events. Everyone is invited to visit but it will be in St. Cloud (mind your miles) for convenience of locals.
The 2nd of September. Meet at Godfathers pizza around 6:00. That gives a few days before the Fall Picnic. Suiting and the such is not possible, but the manager on duty said that they are used to holloween costumes so ears/tail should be fine. There are some arcade style games, and of course bringing your own board/card games are welcomed. Godfathers in a small strip-mall right off of West Division St/ 23, across the street from the old Media Play *now Pawn America* building. Parking on either side of the facility. Construction is right in that area but an extra 2-5 minutes at most.
Any questions concerns or comments please post or PM, and I'll address them as necessary.

And unless there are any criteria missing, if I could get some help from MNFurs on sharing the event info I would greatly appreciate it.
I'm definitely interested in coming since I would be one of those new faces.
Also, sorry if I sound stupid asking these questions, but first off what are the details about the Perkin's meetings? I'd like to see if I could come to those too if that would be ok, but I don't really know anything about them.
Secondly, would I be able to try to see if I can somehow get a ride with someone to the Fall Picnic when I'm there? I probably won't be able to attend the Picnic if I can't get a ride.
If I come I'll probably bring a few games, including Monty Python Fluxx.
OfflineFirst about the MNFur Bi-Weekly meets: Some like to divide off to Starbucks across the street, but in any event as they are family friendly environments suiting is not possible, and noise levels are to be maintained. You have those who like board games, like settlers of katan. those who are into card games like Apples to Apples, those who are artsy-fartsy, and then those who are just there to relax and hang with friends. All in all a way to keep active as a community and a chance for people to get out and socialize with friends or meet new furs. The meets some times have announcements regarding the group, but never anything exclusive that you wouldn't find repeated elsewhere. They typically last 12:00-2:00am and later. I personally get going around 12:00 for sake of drive and sleep.
About Picnic: That's one of the reasons I'm pushing this so quickly.

OfflineHi guys. I'll also be in attendance, this sounds like a great time and I'm very looking forward to it.
If anyone doesn't know, Godfather's is buffet-style (though they also have individual pizzas), and it's not just pizza! They have hot wings and calzones, and they used to have pastas too, but I'm not sure of that anymore. There's also a salad bar for you veggie lovers. And trust me, you WILL be back for seconds on their amazing dessert pizza for those of you with a sweet tooth! <3
I'm wondering about there being that large television in one section of the room that we'll be in. Unfortunately, we'll probably all be in the closed off section in the back of the room, which as far as I remember does not include a television. Might be neat to watch TV or something if we have access to it?
It's too bad Media Play is gone, I used to spend hours in that place just running around.
So much stuff to look at and play with.

Thank you to everyone who came, regardless if you walked 2 blocks or drove 2 hours I hope everyone felt it was worth coming out. I'm really happy how things turned out. Right away we broke the 20 people mark and we peaked mid-20s. Which was amazing! If you guys would like to mull over some questions I'd like to hear your input:
1) How was the establishment? IE: The Staff, The Prices, The Room layout, The Restrooms even.
2) How was the food? Seen a lot of variety.
3) How was the location (geography)? If you drive, or not, was it easy to find, easy to escape?
4) How was the schedule, Sunday 6 till 9? Would it starting sooner sound appealing?
5) Any other thoughts? If these happened on a regular basis (not as frequent as bi-weekly's) when would you like to get out?
I want to give a particular thanks to the DJ for providing music, I did not arrange for any of it and seriously well done for music taste and volume. To be honest I was on high-alert for the first 5 minutes in case of complaints: That never came, but the room layout seemed naturally buffered to not carry audio past the wall (again, good volume as to not over power everything). It really set the atmosphere and made for some enjoyable moments *glances at the air guitarists*. And as someone said "no dub step". I'm hoping to coordinate when this happens again.
I also want to thank E.T. for deciding to grace us with his movie.
And I'll even answer them myself to break the ice:
1) How was the establishment? IE: The Staff, The Prices, The Room layout, The Restrooms even.
I really was pleased with the attitude of staff, I never was given a quota to fill nor did I even arrange any special deals that they may have provided (assuming promotions were special to us). I'm going to follow up with them in the upcoming days to thank them and such. It's actually an old restaurant and building, but I think it's age gives it some character.
2) How was the food? Seen a lot of variety.
While I only ate a small appetizer (wonky stomach). It was very tasty. Plus given it's not Perkins was a seller.
3) How was the location (geography)? If you drive, or not, was it easy to find, easy to escape?
Err… I can't really say much, I'm bias
*the next question is for even those who were unable to attend*
4) How was the schedule, Sunday 6 till 9? Would it starting sooner sound appealing?
I'm thinking of starting a future gathering sooner. Either 5oclock or 4oclock officially. If I was in the shoes of the long-distance traveler the 9oclock end/close time is nice as I could comfortably be home and be ready for a Monday work schedule. But 3 hours really is short especially for the way we function.
5) Any other thoughts? If these happened on a regular basis (not as frequent as bi-weekly's) when would you like to get out?
No Comment. Bias.
1) How was the establishment? IE: The Staff, The Prices, The Room layout, The Restrooms even.
It was all very nice, the staff were couretous and the room layout was great, although the way the seating was arranged did make moving around a bit hard, but it wasn't horrible. Overall, very nice.
2) How was the food? Seen a lot of variety.
The food was really good, not a lot of comment there I guess.
3) How was the location (geography)? If you drive, or not, was it easy to find, easy to escape?
Didn't really have to drive very far, only about 10 minutes, but it was easy enough to find and leave from.
4) How was the schedule, Sunday 6 till 9? Would it starting sooner sound appealing?
I think starting sooner would be nice, a good upside to having an earlier meeting is that the buffet could still be open so more food options.
5) Any other thoughts? If these happened on a regular basis (not as frequent as bi-weekly's) when would you like to get out?
Regular basis meets would be awesome, weekends I think are pretty good days for most people to try to get together.

OfflineI'm looking to be setting up another FITC event. In the beginning of December (ideally the 2nd, Sunday). I'm going to be up north for the hunting weekend and will be back late Monday. If you have any concerns or advice please share them and I'll read them when I return. I should have some finalized details next Wednesday or Thursday.
