A little short notice, but it seems I have a free state fair ticket (only for myself, you'd need to buy your own to get in) and I no longer have anyone to go with. Everyone I would ask has plans on Labor Day weekend.
So I'm going to put it on here. Anyone planning on going to the State Fair or would be interested in going this upcoming weekend? I'm thinking if we had enough people we could do it as a pre-El Toro thing as the State Fair is just North of where the alternate meet is going to be held at. There might even be a park and ride nearby (I can do that research if anyone is interested)
The thought would be to get to the fair around say 11am and mill around in the late morning/early afternoon and leave the fair no later then 3-4pmish. This would give time to make it to El Toro and/or take a break somewheres to unwind before going to the meet.

A good idea, though I'm not sure this is something I could do. I work that morning and this would be a very long day for me. I'm going to have to think about it.

I already have plans to do the renaissance festival before the meet.

A little short notice on this I guess, but since Sat is a bust, anyone planning on going to the Wierd Al concert tommorow night? I have a second state fair pass for tommorow as I'm volunteering there and I get off right before the concert starts. PM me with info and such if you are going. I'll be picking up my ticket before I head to volunteer in the afternoon.
