Quoting from their updated registration page, "If you have registered, you have been accepted."
So yes, it's official now. They go on to say that the line-up will now be announced on the 21st, after registration has closed. That explains the delay at least, they extended registration. With that in mind, if there is anyone who missed out on the first round of registration, I can look into adding you if you still want to join us. I would really appreciate getting some more handlers. I'll have to talk to the organizers about adding anyone, but I can't image they would say no since registration is still open. (I wish they had posted that info earlier.)
Onto other news, some more information about the parade. It runs on E. 5th St. starting at Broadway where the farmer's market is located and loops around Rice Park to finish by the library. The start time is 2pm, which is an hour later from previous years. Eat lunch beforehand, as I'm not including that in our schedule anymore. I anticipate gathering at the staging area around 1:30.
The specifics for staging are going to depend on information I receive next weekend, but here are some certain things everyone needs to be aware of. Drop off is at Broadway and E. 5th Street. Parking is going to be available along 6th Street at meters or in parking lots. Unfortunately that does mean parking fees, so carpooling is a good idea. It would be best if parade participants had a driver who could pick them up at the end of the parade. Anyone who can't make such arrangements should let me know and I'll come up with something.

The parade starts at 2 on the 29th this year. I recieved some more information today that has changed much of what I previously said regarding what happens before the parade. I'll make a new post this weekend after I get the rest of the info from the organizers.

We still have enough people so it's not a big problem. Thanks for letting me know.

I'm still waiting on the last packet of information myself, but I promise that I'll send an e-mail out later today after I get off from work to let everyone know what's going on.

I'm thinking that I should arrange some sort of ride. Or even arrange some sort of area that I can meet someone for a ride if where I live isn't convenient enough. I should have said something earlier but I didn't put enough thought into it. Sorry.

If you park at Mounds Park, we will be able to give you a ride to and from the parade. Depending on the number of people getting a ride we may need to make two trips, but we will be able to shuttle everyone.
If you need a ride to Mounds Park, you'll have to find someone who lives near you or who has to drive through your area. I'm over on the east side of St. Paul and can accommodate people in that region.

As of right now I don't know if I'll be able to make it or not. My initial ride fell through. If I manage to scrounge up a ride I'll be there.
