I got the bulk of the day off for that day and figured it might be fun to get some folks together and go out fursuiting somewhere.
Location: Riverdale in CoonRapids , MN , other locations afterwards by group consensus.
Time would be whatever works best for the bulk of the group, personally id prefer the early-middle afternoon as the start time but I dont got anything better to do that day so whatever works best.
Ok heres the important part, PLEASE either Private message me on the forum, or Note me on Furaffinity (Skystrider) if your planning on attending, we need BOTH fursuiters and handlers/spotters , my goal is to have a 1:1 spotter to suiter ratio

Be careful there are many areas around the metro that enforce the law of not having things over your face. Do you have any places in mind? I'd love to do some suiting but I want to make sure that we are welcome where we are going. =)

Those sorts of laws would be city-based, so the city hall or local police station would be the place to check up on the existence of a law like that.
I don't know off-hand if I would be up for that, but I do have the time.

Correction..
It is not an ordinance.. (city based)..
It falls under Minnesota State Statute.. (state law)…
HERE IS WHAT IT SAYS
609.735 CONCEALING IDENTITY.
A person whose identity is concealed by the person in a public place by means of a robe, mask,
or other disguise, unless based on religious beliefs, or incidental to amusement, entertainment, protection from weather, or medical treatment, is guilty of a misdemeanor.
(( with this in mind.. Fur-Suiting is not a crime.. key word being. "Incidental to amusement (and) entertainment)).

Ok so heres my thoughts:
id be thinking of us going around Riverdale mall (its large area with lots of stores and parking lots and such). we can go around there and into some of the stores (ill check if the Target, Petsmart, Bestbuy, other big stores) allow us and which wont so we know ahead of time, and theres a Walmart on the other side of Hwy 10 we could go into or hang around.
Beyond that for the rest of the day id be open to whatever other locations people would want to do that way we can spend parts of the day in the areas ppl want to go and ppl can make it to.

Unfortunately I know most of those stores will most defiantly not allow us to suit in there. Bestbuy does not allow masks in their stores, plus there are a lot of very large, expensive electronics that could get run into if we were not careful enough. The mask policy seems to be a normal thing in most bigger chain stores. However, I have seen fursuiting in Petsmart more than once, so that would be a possible place to go into, depending on how many suiters are with. I just don't think it would be a great idea to bring a bunch of suiters in a store that may have people with their pets who would not be to certain about us.
I'm not trying to be a downer on this, I love to fursuit! We just need to be careful on the places we chose to go and make sure it is a safe and friendly environment for all!

This just sounds way too much like guerilla fursuiting, because well, it is. Like Jacek I'm also not trying to be a downer. It's just that if you plan on just showing up with nothing setup in advance, especially at a mall of all places, you will freak a lot of people out – shoppers, employees, and mall security. It's a bad idea. If you want to do guerilla fursuiting I'd suggest a public park.

well the Regional park wont be open til Memorial weekend.
Its not a mall mall, there not connected to eachother except for a sidewalk outside. The lack of structure is mainly to try to be flexible for ppl coming to accomidate your schedules since Id like to have a few ppl show up.
