Ugh heres me poking my head in here, I live in Rochester as well, and have like deathly allergies to forums. So have i never been to this site before. Thought it was mostly only me down here hehe. I tend to do better with IM's then forums though.
Feel free to IM me if you want, be fun to get to know the locals that have been here for awhile hehe.

Nice to meet you. Unlike the rest of the people here, i actually live in pine island, but eh close enough XD. But its good to know there's another one of us here, and dont be afraid to talk to any of us.

ok, i wonder…
nove knows about this cus talking to him i came up with the idea….i think that we all should try to do a little get together of sorts, you know to meet and possibly get to know each other.
and again, i already know nove's view on it, but i want to know everyones views on it.
it could be anything from just meeting at a park for no reason, going to eat somewhere, bowling (i know cence would love to go bowling again XD)
But let me know if this is something we could all do…and maybe doing more stuff for the furs would help us snuff some more out :p

well of course,. i am always willing to plan something, but as a rule… i generally leave Rochester if i want to have any fun…
Certainly.. if one were to occur, i would show up… but there are only 4 of us in the area that we know of lol. hard to call ourselves a gathering.

I'm with Cence. Rochester is not the place I would choose to have fun, and if I'm not working I could potentially attend. I don't know why it's always "volunteer for charity" work that gets suggested, but I for one probably wouldn't get involved in something that heads down that beaten path.
As always I'm open to ideas, but will keep my usual suggestions confidential so it doesn't end up at a trans-gender "show-and-tell" 3 months down the road (long story, don't ask). Looking forward to hearing what you can come up with.

well I personally enjoy shooting. I have a membership out at the zumbrota rifle club and usually spend my nice sunny afternoons out there (if not hunting). Other hobbies include eating, sleeping, more eating, and sex.
As for this "skating" you speak of, we do have a skate park in Rochester although I have rarely seen it used for such a purpose, and it's a rather small place down on the south side of 7th Street NE. Is it important to mention I don't skate here?
Asking such a question here will get you the usual droll suggestions such as "watching movies" or "playing video-games" or the ever-popular "going out to eat". If you're looking for something more active, there's a good chance you'll need to leave the city for it. I must compliment the city on bringing some actual "heavy metal" artists to the civic center, I honestly didn't see them approving that so it was a nice surprise.
With all that said, if you've got something you just need to get out of your system I'm all ears, and for whatever it means I'll be trying to start a D&D group here in Rochester for hardcore table top gamers (V3.5). Any questions please ask. That's my spiel, take it or leave it.

bleh, skate parks
Sorry, but im not an aggresive skater.
i like to jump off curbs, stares all the stuff….pretty much im working my way to being more on an urban skater….kinda sucks i don't know anyone to learn from…
and your hobbies reminded me that i havn't shot a gun since last year…oh well
and ya, those all sound boring…we need a way to spice them up a bit.
what about a game of poker?
and sorry, could never get into D&D….so i can tell you right now that i am not good for that

well first off..
I am definitely in for the DnD campaign, and for reasons other than my relation with J, can vouch for him as a rather enjoyable Dungeon master… (for those who care to know)
And yes i will agree with J,. this age old conversation about "what to do" really is short-fall in this area. and we (those of us who live in/near Roch) definitely run a rather diverse personality gambit, and as a result, we all seem to have our own interests that unfortunately do not seem to coincide with each-other. it sort of puts a rather large spongy damper on any attempts to plan or create plans that involve each-other in a agreeable and enjoyable activity or atmosphere.
Hell, i am already missing the spring picnic to work, and J doesn't particularly enjoy the "meets" or "events".
I think.. we can all agree that Mr. J Fox should be spending an ample amount of time on the range this summer.. he is actually a very good shot, notably hitting his targets 100% of some of the time.

Hi all. I live out in Dodge Center, but work in Rochester. I really dont get up to Hopkins much because of gas, so being able to hang out and watch bad movies or game with local miscreants like myself would be nice.
I'm a HUGE fan of MST3K and its ilk. I also used to a big into gaming but my co-workers campaigns all nosedived after a few weeks *le sigh*.
Anyway enough rambling. Any should feel free to IM me if they are ever bored. I love meeting new people.
