Well it is that time again, Spring a Pet is here for the Coon Rapids Petco and once again I am looking for people who would be willing to come out for one day a weekend for 5 hours to suit, entertain and help raise funds for Whisker Rescue this time.
Dates March 8 (Sunday and Daylight savings time reminder!) Sat the 14th, Sat the 21st and Sat the 28th.
Time: 11am until 4pm
Just got the information for the dates so I am sorry for the late posting about this event, due to how short notice this is I don’t think I will be able to get any Volunteer hours for anyone, but still would love to have people come out and help raise money for our fuzzy friends. 🙂
Let me know! 🙂
Can’t be certain yet but I should be able to make most of them. The 28th is a question mark.Sounds good, will be glad to have you back out there with us again. 🙂I know many of you just got back from FurSquared and probably are a bit tired, however if any of you still have the energy to do suiting by Sunday this weekend the 8th would love to have you out at Petco to help raise money for Whisker Rescue at the Petco Spring a pet fundraiser. 🙂 So far the only one i have heard from has been our very own Jackalope Buckeye who will be there all days but possibly the last day, more suits means more silliness and entertainment for the masses, Possibly more money too in donations. 🙂the reason this one is on a sunday is due to the fact Shadowrunner has to work Saturday or else we would be doing just Saturdays per the normal. 🙂
I would love to help out Uinco, but my knees have been giving me trouble for the past few weeksShadow just got her new Schedule and she has to also work Sunday so this weekend for doing the fundraiser is Cancelled for the 8th, the following weekend are still on track though so I guess everyone gets to get adjusted to Daylight savings time this weekend and not have to worry about being at Petco late. If anything changes I will post here to let everyone know, Shadow was wondering if people wanted to do a Sat and Sun showing for this fundraiser for one weekend or not, Thoughts on that option?6 days from now ( Saturday March 14th) would there be any other suiters that would like to come out and help raise money at the coon Rapids Petco for Whisker Rescue, the more people we have out there the better we have done for collecting donations, please let me know how many will be attending and on what dates. 🙂 Could really use your help guys, I can’t do this on my own. 🙂I’m still in for the 14th & 21st. Hope we can get at least one or two other suiters to join us, even for a few hours. Looking like great suiting weather this Saturday.I am hoping we can get more people to come out too. 🙂 Seems the more of us we have the better we do in donations. 🙂 Plus it is always fun and the photos that get taken by people. *laughs*I hope we have more people able to show up for this Weekend than just 2 suiters. I know voting for board members is happening virtually at the same time (Wish i had seen that before) But could really use more participants than just me and Buckeye out there trying to raise money for Whisker Rescue. 🙂I should be available that weekend. I don’t have a fursuit though… (just paws and a tail) Are there other tasks that non-suiters could do there? If I’m ever not working I will be there! However, I usually work saturdays (I know I for sure do on the 14th) so I won’t be there this weekend. I’m hoping I can make it a different weekend.Argus you could help cover the front and or help suiters get to and from the break room in the building if they need to take a rest.Lailadie It would be great to have you back out there again, especially with this being a fundraiser for the cat rescue group this time. 🙂 Keep me posted on if things change for you later on and you can make one of the remaining 2 weekend Sats. 🙂
Awesome! I will mark my calendar for the 14th! Should I bring anything with me?Comfortable shoes and clothing along with a smile as if you stay for the whole event it is 5 hours long. 🙂 -
