Picnics

What: Semi-Annual Picnic event, Picnic/potluck Outdoor general social gathering.

When:

Spring Picnic: June 12th 2010 (11am-10pm)

Summer Picnic: September 25th 2010 (11am-10pm)

What to bring: Yourself, a food or stationary item (plates, napkins, condiments) of your choice.  The picnic is pot-luck so all food is donated by people who attend.  As we get closer to each picnic we will announce what items we are suggesting people bring or are in most dire need of.

Other popular activities include playing outdoor games (such as Frisbee, Bocce Ball, Volleyball, etc) taking hikes, etc. Bringing board games or sketchbooks are fine but remember this is an outdoor venue.  The picnics are also a much more fursuit-friendly event then Perkins or a lot of our other meetups, but please be reasonable and also keep in mind of the outdoor elements (rain, dirt, mud, etc) that may be present at this time of year.  We cannot control and are not responsible for anything that happens outside of the picnic grounds in other areas of the park.

Where:

Hidden Falls Regional Park

Address: Intersection of Hidden Falls drive and Mississippi River Blvd S, St Paul, MN 55116.  (This is the intersection of the actual park entrance)

Notes:

The Picnic shelter area we have reserved is the first one as you go down the hill on the right-hand side.

Parking is very limited and while the lot attached to the picnic shelter is reserved for the picnic area we have little control over other people parking there.  There is an overflow lot further up the road.  Please do NOT double-park in the small lot attached to the picnic area and do NOT park on the road.  The park patrols the area regularly so you will get a ticket if you do so.

Power is reserved for crockpots and lights ONLY. You will NOT be able to plug in laptops etc here, we are very limited on what we can provide for power here and food units and lighting take priority.
