The sun is put away, the games are shut down, and the congo line is stopped. that makes the MNFurs 2011 Fall Pre-Picnic, Picnic, AND Furs After Dark are officially OVER.

MNFurs would like to thank all the people who helped put on these three events. Without there help well the event wouldn’t been done.

MNfurs would also like to especially thank all the people who came out and made this event special. Without you well there would be no MNFurs!

Starting Saturday at 11AM MNFurs 2011 Fall Picnic – Basking in the Sun is going to live up to the name with warm Minnesota fun. This potluck event will have plenty of outdoor fun for all.

Once the picnic shut down at 10PM we are starting our 18 and over event MNFurs Picnic – Furs After Dark

Come join the fun with this year’s fall picnic. It will be a blast!

As we slowly move past the scotching hot days of summer into the cool fall months MNFurs is going to have a smattering of things happening in September and beyond. Lets go over some of September highlights.

September 1st – Last day for MNFurs 2011 Fall Picnic Art Badge contest entries for more details read the Art Badge Announcement

September 3rd starting @ 5PM – Bi-Weekly meet at Perkins. You can also preregister for October Minnesota Furry Gathering for just 15 dollars at the meet.

September 9th starting @ 7PM – MNFurs 2011 Fall Pre Picnic Celebration. Indoor fun for fursuiting, art, gaming, and more. Check out MNFurs 2011 Fall Pre Picnic Celebration Web Page for more details.

September 10th starting @ 11AM – MNFurs 2011 Fall Picnic – Basking in the Sun – Picnic full of fun and suprises. For more details check out MNFurs 2011 Fall Picnic web page for more details.

September 10th starting @10PM – MNFurs 2011 Fall Picnic Post Event – Furs After Dark. This is a 18 and over event including dancing, art and socializing. For more information check out MNFurs 2011 Fall Picnic – Furs After Dark.

October Highlights

October is going to be a busy month too. Some of the major activities include October Minnesota Furry Gathering on October 15th, Anoka Halloween Grand Parade on the 28th and MNFurs Voleentering for Como Zoo Boo on October 22, 23, 27, 28, and 29.

And many more things happening in September and October – check out the MNFurs website and forums for events going on by our members and possibly by YOU.

One last reminder – pre-registration for October Minnesota Furry Gathering will be available at bi-weekly meets and at the spring picnic. Sorry we can't do pre-registration online.

The Art Badge contest for the MNFurs 2011 Fall Picnic is going on right now and ends on September 1st, 2011. Anyone can enter and all will be shown at the MNFurs 2011 Fall Pre-Picnic Celebration but one will chosen to be used as the badge for this year’s fall picnic!

Then Saturday, we have the picnic proper at hidden falls park from 11AM to 10PM. Enjoy a classic MNFurs outdoor cookout full of fun and games with your old and new friends.

To top it all off, after the picnic Saturday starting at 10PM we have “MNFurs 2011 Fall Picnic – Furs After Dark” back at the Event Horizon Center. It’s a friday night before the picnic.

Nothing to do but wait for the picnic.

Happens every year…

But not this year. MNFurs this year will have a pre-picnic celebration starting September 9th at 7 PM at Event Horizon at GPS Center. Socialize, fursuit, draw, game, watch anime and more! The sky is the limit on how much fun you can have!

And if you can’t make the picnic you still can still join the celebration by meeting up at the Pre-Picnic Celebration.

It will be a blast and everyone can join in on the fun on September 9th!

We are moving the MMFurs picnic to Geek Center at 6:00 PM

Outside food is allowed and better yet free wi-fi.

So head down there and join the rest of the community in dry warm furry fun.

Where is this grand adventure happening at Trapp Farm Park – yes Trapp Farm Park in Eagan, MN will be the place for adventure this year. It’s a different location than last year so take some time before you go and check out the map on our MNFurs Spring Picnic page to get the best idea to get there.

If it rains there is nothing to worry about – At Trapp Farm Park MNFurs has the full shelter to continue the festivities at. This shelter is bigger than our past picnic location so it will be able to protect everyone from rain or sunshine.

For those of you that have fursuits – put on your best ears and tails because fursuitting is allowed at this spring picnic. Not only that, but this year’s picnic fursuit games will be hosted by Aerak. So get ready to suit up, put adventure in your heart and have some fun!

Food? Glad you mention it this year’s spring picnic food is done pot-luck style. Find more information, get ideas and discuss what to bring use the pot-luck forum post.

When does this all start? People can set sail to Eagan starting at 11AM. Don’t worry about being prompt the event goes on till 10PM. So take your time coming there and don’t worry there is plenty of space for you when you can come.

But why does the fun have to stop at 10PM? It doesn’t this year. Swing on by the Geek Partnership Society’s Geek Community Center at 10PM for MNFurs will have the space to keep the picnic fun. With games, food, and great company this is going to be a fun event that will last till the wee hours of night.

Never been to the Geek Community Center then go to our MNFurs Spring Picnic page and find what will be the best route to take.

But you might be saying to yourself “I don’t have a ride to the picnic” or “I would like to car pool to Geek Community Center” It’s not too late to go to our ride sharing forums and discuss how to get there.

I know too much excitement in one day – but trust me rain or shine just do whatever it takes to go to Trapp Farm Park and Geek Community Center and you will have a furry adventure of this springtime!

As a tradation for MNFurs Spring Picnic the food at this years picnic is being handled as a pot-luck. As in years past it’s recommened that you bring your own main item (meat or vegatable), a non-alcholic drink, and something to share.
