MNFurs Oval Meet Reminder

Hello, everyone! Tomorrow is our first Oval Meet at the Guidant John Rose Minnesota Oval in Roseville. This is our new home for large fur meets that are now fursuit friendly. There are lots of tables for activities such as tabletop gaming, artwork, and of course socializing. At the Oval Meets, any food or drink can be brought, but alcohol is not allowed. Also, Furry Migration has generously donated to the Oval Meet this time to help cover costs but to keep it going, a donation of $5 is greatly appreciated.

We can’t wait to see you there!

    Hey there!  Thanks to everyone who came out last night to attend the first big fur meet at the Oval.  Last thing I heard is that we had about 75 in attendance and everyone was having lots of fun.  I have a couple of questions to ask some of you that were there.

    I’ll put in my thoughts.

    What did you like or dislike?

    It was definitely nice to have a larger and more private area for the meet, as I’m not the first person to mention that perkins and especially caribou was crowded. Also, the Oval allowed for fursuiting and photography, which is certainly a plus.

    What do you want to see at the next Oval meet?

    I can’t think of anything at the moment, but I’m sure others will have ideas!

    Overall, I think that the Oval is a great location for the meets, and I’m excited to go back in March! 🙂

    With the buses, I should be able to make it. I just wished that there was a bus that went directly to it. I’m gonna have to do a lot of walking.

    Thank you to all of our community members who came out to the Oval fur meet yesterday afternoon.  We hope you had a wonderful time whether it was fursuiting, playing card/tabletop games, playing on your laptop, doing art, etc.  😀

    I also had the chance to converse with some new members to our community.  Myself along with the rest of the board and staff hope you had a fun time.  As a reminder if there are more questions/concerns, please e-mail [email protected]

    I also want to thank community member Makalu for bringing in his espresso machine and supplies.  He made some wonderful lattes for people who donated and it was a success after hearing of his report…It was a real treat!
