Join MNFurs for our Annual Spring picnic on Saturday May 14th at Thompson Park in West Saint Paul.
This year the Picnic theme is: Japan. As we wrap up our trip to Hawaii for the Anime Detour room party; lets travel further across the Pacific to this legendary island nation.
Bring your Anime Cosplays, Kimonos, cherry blossoms and umbrellas but please leave your Katanas at home. This is an all ages public event. Fursuits and cos-plays are welcome but please leave any weapon or weapon replicas behind.
The picnic starts at 11am, but if you are looking for ways to Volunteer we’ll be looking for people to come earlier to help set up. This is an all day event and will last until we loose the shelter unless weather causes us to end it early.
When: Saturday May 14th 11am – 9:30 pm
Where: Thompson Park (North Shelter) 1166 Stassen Lane, West Saint Paul, MN 55118
Cost: Free, but donations are strongly encouraged to help cover the cost of the event. Themed badges will be available for a donation (cost and artwork to be announced)
What to bring: Yourself, and food to share. The Spring Picnic is a Pot-Luck event. Keep an eye on the Forums for a thread to coordinate what people are bringing as we get closer to the Picnic.
Fursuit Friendly?: Yes of course! There will be a group photo organized as well as possible games for fursuiters and cosplayers. Keep an eye on the Forums for details.
