Real Name & ‘Fur’ Name:
Brian Mogged – Kurst “YipYap” Hyperyote
Tell us about yourself:
I’m a Wisconsin refugee that lived there until I graduated from college. I escaped from Wisconsin and been living in Minnesota ever since.
I’m at heart a gamer and a programmer. I’ve been playing video games since the Atari 2600 and programming just as long. While I have been “classically trained” as a programmer I am always looking for the next technology to learn about.
What brought you to Minnesota Furs?
I was online for a number of years interacting with the furry community. I realize that it wasn’t the same for me to be online. So I went looking for a community of friends and colleges who not only believe in some of the ideas but also want to help people out. And that is when I found Minnesota Furs.
Furry for me is just a grouping of people who like anthropomorphic animals but have different way to express it. Some through art, some through music, some through writing, some through acting, and almost all through their dreams. And that what I like about Minnesota Furs it’s not just one but a mixture of different people some with different views that come together to do something wonderful.
What skills do you see yourself bringing to the group, and how will this improve MNFurs in the future?
While I do bring my experience in marketing, project leading, and team management with my degrees in programming and business I think the best assets I bring is the Midwest work ethic and the ability to listen to different groups and work together to bring them together. I believe with smart informed decisions and rolling up ones sleeves that everyone can be involved in a future where the everyone in the furry community is respected and treated fairly no matter how one expresses their dream.
