Hiya hiya everybody,
I’m Alli Coyote, or Alli for short. I’ve been a furry since longer than I remember, but ever since interacting with the fandom itself about 10 years ago, I decided to finally make a sona and interact with the community. I’ve been a furry for about 10 years. I’ve stayed online for a while and simply satiated myself with a Discord presence for much of that time, but about a year or two ago, I finally decided it was time to be involved in the community in person. The furry community has done so much for me. To the point where I wouldn’t be the person I am today without people like you. As a result, I want to make sure I give back to the group I owe so much to.
That’s why I’m here, running for board. As an industrial engineer, I have an ability to organize and provide infastructural support that makes me an ideal candidate for the inner workings of the board. Initial ideas I’ve had was standardized instructions, improvement, and most importantly a neat, clean organizational touch. But I hope to do much more than simply support the inner workings of the board. As an individual who strives to make sure nobody feels left out when joining MNFurs, I hope to continue my work with the events department to expand the scope and range of our frequent events.
This is an opportunity I’m excited for, as I’ve not gotten a chance to step outside my comfort zone in my personal life for a long time, and I hope to learn and grow from this to become a better, more responsible individual. The first plans I’d love to work on if I were elected is to provide a means of streamlining event submission and approval to help encourage more community members that may be unsure of or intimidated by hosting an event. Another plan I’d love to work on is perhaps creating a group of individuals known throughout the community who would be willing to welcome new MNFurs members with open arms. One major issue I’ve heard throughout my time with talking to people is that it’s hard and scary to take that first step into the community. As somebody who’s been there, I believe it’s incredibly important to be able to have people break the ice and introduce newcomers to the groups at oval meets, perkins meets, mall walks, or other events.
I hope to enrich MNFurs in the same way MNFurs and furries have enriched my life, and to be the person who can be approached for anybody who was in a similar state as I was in when furries helped me.
I hope this answers all your questions, and thank you all for everything you’ve done for me MNFurs.
Regards,
Alli -
