Join Kurst and Cyndyr for a meet up at Valleyfair’s Halloween event on October 16th! We will meet at 6 pm near the Merry-Go- Round (towards Cinnabon/A
[See the full post at: MNFurs ValleySCARE Meetup]In the past pre-covid it’s been a pretty fun event. Especially since the majority of rides are available to go on 🙂The big problem is the park registration they seem to fill up before the weekend. If you don’t have that reservation they won’t let you get in. It’s pretty annoying this system.
It also looks like their mediocre buffet is not available. The food options there has been hit or miss with longer lines than expected. So I recommend getting food before going out there.

Kurst "YipYap" HyperyoteWe went out last night to see how they are set up for this year. The decorations are up and lit. Some areas are more themed than others. Most of the regular food vendors are open, including the food trucks, but like Kurst said the average-ish buffet did not return. The rides were all running from what we could tell, and they updated their side shows. The mazes are open and came back better than 2019. I think that is partially a result of dropping the Corn Maze and reallocating staff to other areas. It all looks COIVD-times good, and I am looking forward to the 16th. If you do want to go, make your Valleyfair reservation ASAP as they were sold out before Friday for last night. For day ticket purchases with reservations go to https://www.valleyfair.com/daily-tickets or Season Pass Holders, reservations can be made at https://www.valleyfair.com/reservations
Post here if you have any questions. Kurst and I will be watching for them.

We decided we are going after our game. I was generally surprised with how much staff they were able to find considering sometimes during summer it was REALLY low and therefore rides were not always open or food vendors closed. It is still not 100%, but if you went this summer during “lean” times you’d be surprised how much is open and at full capacity. It was a “full” night and yet rarely had a line longer than 15 minutes (other than northern lights, because everyone wants to see park from high late at night).Big wins for entertainment this year:
Sword swallower and trickster Freak show Florida
Lazer Rave “silent” rave using headphones but still 2 channels/DJ’s
Since opening, Valleyfair has an updated page for the policies and guidelines to attend ValleySCARE. Before heading out, check out Halloween Haunt. Most important to reference is the bag policy.Cyndyr

As of this moment ValleySCARE (and Valleyfair) is sold out on the 16th. So if you do not have a park reservation you will not be able to enter :(.The attendance cap does help keep it a lower numbers in previous years but expect it to be busy still. They also have food problems if you eat there recently you know that their food quality is a little off and speed is down.
