Join MNFurs for our Annual Spring picnic on Saturday May 14th at Thompson Park in West Saint Paul.
This year the Picnic theme is Japan. As we wrap up our trip to Hawaii from the Anime Detour room party, let’s travel further across the Pacific to the legendary island nation.
Bring your anime cosplays, kimonos, cherry blossoms, and umbrellas! But please leave your Katanas at home. This is an all ages public event. Fursuits and cosplays are welcome but please leave any weapon or weapon replicas behind.
The picnic starts at 11am, but if you are looking for ways to volunteer we’ll be looking for people to come earlier to help set up and to state late to help cleanup.
What: MNFurs Spring Picnic
When: May 14th, 2016, 11 AM-9:30 PM
Food: Potluck – Bring your own food to share with the group.
Cost: We suggest a $5-15 donation or more for the event. Not only does this help out MNFurs pay for the event, but you also receive a free limited edition collectable MNFurs badge.
What to bring: Yourself, friends, games, something to share, or a stationery item (plates, napkins, condiments) of your choice. The picnic is potluck so all the food is donated by the attendees. As in past events, we recommend bringing a protein (beef, chicken, pork, or mystery) for yourself and a side to share with everyone.
To keep track of what dishes people are bringing, please use the Picnic Forum to keep track of what is being brought. Please post in the forum once you have an idea and feel free to check out what other people are bringing to get an idea what you should.
Activities: Games, Fursuit Group Photo, and whatever fun you want to do
Even though this is a fursuit friendly event, please keep in mind of the outdoor elements (rain, dirt, mud, heat, etc) that may be present at this time of year. Keep that in mind when choosing attire for this event.
Age: All ages are welcome but minors must be accompanied by an adult. Unaccompanied minors may be asked to leave.
