Making A Nomination
Electronic Submissions
To nominate someone (or yourself) please email elections@mnfurs.org, along with a valid contact email for said nominated individual. Its optional if you’d like to give a short reasoning of why you think they’d (or yourself) would make a good fit, but not required. We will then reach out to both you & to those individual(s) nominated (in separate emails) informing of this nomination. Please consider this confirmation email as a receipt of confirmation that your nomination was acknowledged and processed.
All nominations need to be submitted by 11:59pm CST on November 25th, 2023. Late nominations will not be accepted.
Alternative Nomination Methods
If unable to make a nomination online by email, you can submit a written and sealed nomination to any MNFurs staff member at an event. Please mark the envelope as the “MNFurs Elections Committee”. Though emailed nominations are strongly preferred. You can mail nominations in writing by mailing your nomination with a contact email address for nominee by writing to:

What happens after I nominate someone?
We reach out to said individual (considering their membership status is good) and inform them they’ve been nominated by a community member. Then, they are given a window to respond to the nomination if they accept the nomination. Candidates that accept will move onto next steps of election.
