It’s time for the summer Bear Essentials camping event, but this one is a bit different: where we’re going, we don’t need roads. That’s right, this event is in Appleton, where there’s an offroad vehicle park that’s open to the public! If that strikes your interest, come and see how far you can send it.
That said, offroading is not a requirement! You can still come and enjoy two nights of camping fun with your fellow furs, even if you have no interest in that part of the trip! You’ll be self-sufficient by bringing your own food, tent, and chairs, and get to run around and relax by the fire. Summer will be in full swing, so be sure to pack accordingly!
Be sure to bring some food for the campfire and enjoy the great outdoors. If you can’t bring your own tent, sleeping bag, or camping chair then try and get one before the event or find somebody willing to lend you theirs. You don’t want to be stuck sleeping outside on the ground! In the past, other furs have also camped out in their cars!
Cost: $20 per person, paid for at the event
RSVP?: Yes, so we can gauge how many people are coming.
Fursuit Friendly?: Yes, feel free to bring those suits for a lot of fun!
Notes: If you want to go offroading with your vehicle, make sure it’s registered properly. The park is a few miles out of town, and managed by the MN DNR, which means you are required to have your vehicle registered, or have purchased a trail day pass.
This is an 18+ event.
