Hello MNFurs community !
Summer is winding down and the nice days may not last much longer. Come on down to French Regional Park and enjoy a day out in the sun. Feel free to romp around in the big playground area or do some hiking on the trails. This is a fursuit-friendly event as well, so now you have an excuse to be more fuzzy.
Fun is not over yet…After the romp we all will want to unwind. Instead of driving home there will be dinner arrangements. =)

LOCATION: French Regional Park (Three Rivers District)
ADDRESS: 12605 Rockford Road, Plymouth, MN 55441
When on Rockford Rd and turning into the main road into the park, drive all the way down. The road will start to bend to the left and that is where you will see one of the main parking lots. The visitor center and playground is very visible.
The other main parking is on your left if you stay on the main road. Both parking lots of close to each other.

MEETING SPOT: In front of the playground and visitor center area
WHAT IS AVAILABLE: Playground, trails, & visitor center
We have been given permission to use the area inside the visitor center where there are tables and chairs. There anyone can cool off and get hydrated. We do NOT have any rooms rented as costs were way too high.
On the playground, please be mindful of kids that are around and of their parent and/or guardian if not comfortable around suiters or any other reason(s).
FURSUIT CHANGING: In or by your vehicle. Since we have no room rented, that limits options.
WHAT TO EXPECT: For everyone who will be in suit…August usually gets real warm and humid at times. With handlers being around be sure to motion for them if you are warm and need to rest and hydrate. Everyone knows their own limits, so do NOT push yourself as heat exhaustion is serious.
WHAT TO BRING: Yourself, fursuits if suiting, money for dinner afterwards, water bottle(s)

Awesome – sounds like a great location and August will hopefully be doable for us
I will see if I can make this ^_^I’ll be in town again over the 31st, so if it’s then I’ll most likely be there with Nor and Pepper!

for me and Shadow, not sure if we would be able to make this or not since August is a pretty busy month for us, would have to see which date you pick and go from there to see if we can or can not make it.@Unico said:

I always try to keep up on the threads I am interested in for topic as things unfold for information. 🙂@Unico said:

Because if it will be a hot day, I want to figure something out for cooling off…If there is a spot with electricity, I am thinking a tent setup with some fans. Again…Need to visit the park, get further in logistics, etc… =)

However, romps like this (to me, at least) tend to be less formal than other gatherings, and because of that I think it also falls to the participants to have some idea of their own limits and prepare accordingly.This is a good point actually…I believe once I see this park I will have a better idea on what I want to do. I just know that cooling will be the biggest inquiry so I want to try and provide as much as I can…Worst case scenario, members use their vehicles to cool off, etc…

well i can possibly do the 17 or the 31st; if nothing comes up“Worst case scenario, members use their vehicles to cool off”Lol my truck is dark green and has no AC. But I would still come. I’ll finish the mouth on my head so it’s not totally ghetto.
