Hello,
It’s that time of the year. Twin Cities Pride Festival is on next weekend of the 25th-26th. As part of this amazing festival their is one of the most strange and wonderful parades in the Twin Cities the 2016 ASHLEY RUKES GLBT PRIDE PARADE.
GPS is willing to pay and organize most of this event. So there is no cost for us to show up and have fun. While they have a float we will be part of the “walking group” of the float. So no planning to sit on the float the whole way – plan to walk.
We are looking for bodies/people to be part of this parade effort. You don’t need a suit to help or participate some of the things needed is
- People who are willing to be part of the parade – suit or not
- People willing to hold the banner during the parade
- People who can transport others back to their car after the parade. THIS IS IMPORTANT!
The theming for clothing/etc is being a geek and part of the geek fandom. So shirts with MNFurs/FM logos, cute furry/geeky shirts, fursuits, etc all would work.
For time commitment plan on being downtown Minneapolis on June 26th, 2016 by 10 am and be done around 1 pm. I will send more exact information on where and when.
For those that are suiting – this is going to be a hot one if the weather forecast hold out – in the upper 80s. So know that you are going to be marching in a slow moving parade for 1-2 hours. Expect to be hot.
AGAIN we will have a VERY LIMITED NUMBER of people who can participate in the parade. I suspect not everyone will be able to participate that wants to! If you are interested RSVP/reply to the thread/private message me. We have a limited amount of spots for this year’s pride event so you MUST RSVP.
Any questions – ask away!
