May be able to do the 24/25th. Should be my weekend off, but either way should have a weekend free and itd be a fun thing to do =DWut o.o
Im Sike AND Banana
Hey hey, I’ll be there! Should be able to make both weekendsSorry if this info is posted elsewhere, but what all is involved for this? For those in a fursuit, what do you have to do exactly? Does your suit need to be like or similar to a real animal, or does any (non-scary) fursuit go?I think I just might have to be fuzzy versus being a handler. =o~ Drake M.

Great question!
FURSUITERS:
You’ll be part of a group of other MNFurs fursuiters whose only responsibility is to greet and interact with families as they pass by. This can be entirely non-verbal and generally consists of high-fives, waves, handshakes, hugs, etc, but your end goal is to make people feel happy and safe. This means that your suit should be unintimidating and friendly, as a majority of children will be quite young.HANDLERS:
Your job is to support the fursuiters in your group as needed, which honestly doesn’t require a ton of involvement, so you’ll be spending a lot of time on call in the background. You’re there mainly in case a fursuiter needs water or other assistance. We will generally try to schedule ~2 handlers per group of fursuiters, per night.OTHER OPPORTUNITIES:
We are working with Como to determine whether there are other ways for people not interested in fursuiting or handling to assist, and will update with details. In any case, you’re expected to attend for the duration of the event (which runs from about 3:30pm-9pm), with breaks as needed.
Should I still fill this out since I registered through the zooboo reminder e-mail from the zoo before the zooboo threads showed up?Should I still fill this out since I registered through the zooboo reminder e-mail from the zoo before the zooboo threads showed up?
We were a little delayed in getting the form up this year so if you already registered, as long as you put MNFurs as your group, there shouldn’t be any issues. Anyone registering now is strongly encouraged to use the MNFurs form as it makes everyone’s (ours, yours, Como’s) lives easier.
Should I register now or what until I know for sure that work will give me offavatar done by Rebel

I recommend registering now – if you are about 80% sure…..

Feel free to ask questions because I'm here for you!
Kurst "YipYap" HyperyoteIs the event mostly inside or outside (assuming no rain)? I once helped (many years ago) set up for Zoo Boo and I think most of it was outside at that time, but that was before they had the big new building. Just wondering how hot it’ll be for those in suits; if outside, likely no worries! Is there a private changing area available? And what’s the parking like, based on last year’s event? I know during the summer on weekends, it’s hard to come by.
Sorry about so many questions, just thinking about what to expect. 🙂
All good questions! Let me take a swing. Is the event mostly inside or outside (assuming no rain)? The event is 99% outside. It’s literally the whole walking path around the zoo. is what they go on.

If you know Como Zoo… You will get access to the Wolf Lot for parking. They reserve that for volunteers. So it’s pretty easy parking with a few steps steps to get to the main building.
They will have a costume change areas in Como Zoo they reserve. Big things to note – It’s not secure storage so no real valuables and if you are stripping down and/or shy you can always use the rest rooms for changing. The stalls are big there.
Sorry about so many questions, just thinking about what to expect.

No problem it’s sometimes easier to actually just keep it as a conversation like this. I’ve been doing this for 7 years now so I know the routine maybe too much 🙂
