Okay, retail season is coming to close. Am I still able to get waiver and go to this?
For sure! We’ll have waivers at the next couple of biweeklies so you can get one from Ridayah or me. I’ll also try to remember to bring some to the Con com meeting in January.

For now changing and storage will likely be in/around our vehicles. Once we have more info from the parade I’ll hopefully be able to give everyone a better idea. Additionally we will need to coordinate transportation from the end of the parade back to our vehicles. Once I know the exact route/distance this should be easier to determine.
I’ll continue to post as I receive more info!

I’ll be working the event as a photographer from the sidelines since I don’t think they are going to like an actual photographer marching in the parade. I’ve got a nice telephoto zoom so I should be able to get a lot of good shots following the group down the street 🙂I won’t as thus need a Waiver. But I will be cheering you on.

So we decided to put it out to the forum and see if anyone had any additional ideas or comments. If not, then we’ll make this a reality.THERE ARE SOME OPTIONS HERE, SO PLEASE COMMENT SO WE CAN GET AN IDEA OF WHAT FOLKS LIKEPLEASE REFER TO THE MAP HERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12459234/PRIOR TO PARADE MEET OPTION: open to discussion. Possibly lunch ?PARKING: (See Map). Meet up location is an open parking lot, plenty of spaces, 3 miles from the parade route. This should be far enough away to be out of the congestion, but close enough to be easy to get to for all. The shuttle will meet here.SHUTTLE: I will rent a UHaul van (across the street from the parking lot) and offer shuttle rides to all MNFurs participants (in and out of suit). The Shuttle will drop off in or near the staging area (see map!). If the staging area is completely insane like it was last time, I’ll drop off nearby so you might have to walk a block or 2. After all folks are shuttled in, I will drop off the van at the end point, and walk back to the staging area myself.PICK UP: At the end of the Parade, continue walking down to the RiverCentre Parking Deck south of Rice Park (see Map!). The UHaul van will be on the top floor of the Parking Deck, on the west side. (see inset red circle on the map!) We have been granted one parking space free of charge on the deck. I will shuttle everyone back to the cars from there. It’ll take a couple trips I’m sure. After this is done, I’ll return the van, and head to wherever we decide to go.POST PARADE MEETING / DINNER: open to discussion. Where would you folks like to go?NOTE: At this time, as of this posting, the offer of putting this together is NOT sponsored or run by the MNFurs group… it is just me offering my time and ability to handle it. All attendees are most welcome to take advantage of the ride, but if you want to do your own thing, that is perfectly fine too. If at some point, the group so desires to sponsor (and pay for) the Uhaul rental, well then it will fall into a sponsored offering.SO, PLEASE COMMENT AND LET ME AND RINGER KNOW WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO DO FOR FOOD OPTIONS. Regarding the shuttle:As Tek mentioned, he’s going to arrange a van to transport people from the meeting point specified to the parade staging area, and again from the endpoint back to their vehicles. This is a convenient option for those who don’t want to deal with parking/traffic nearer to the event, as well as a way for people to congregate and get ready as a group.Obviously attendees are welcome to transport themselves however they wish and it bears repeating that the shuttle is not on official component of the event proper. With that said, I’m very grateful for the offer and will likely be taking advantage of it myself.Regarding events afterwards:
I’m glad this was brought up, because I’d very much like to plan for some kind of congregation afterwards. Any suggestions are welcome, keeping in mind our general location. We’ll probably want to avoid downtown and head someplace slightly less crowded and with more parking.We’ll be heading to Famous Dave’s at the MOA. We have a reservation for 6:30pm.
