MOVIE AFTERNOON OUT: How to Train Your Dragon 2 @ AMC Southdale @ 5PM 6/14/2014

Hi folks.  Kellic here.

So MNfurs has a pretty long tradition of doing various events in addition to the picnics.  One of those events that we haven’t done in a long time is a movie night.  Well it just so happens that weekend after next is the opening night of How to Train Your Dragon 2.  I think this would be a fantastic movie afternoon out.  So what I’m suggesting is that on Saturday June 14^th we get as many people together to go see How to Train your dragon 2 @ 5PM.  Why 5PM?  Because the theatre only hs 3 showing of H2TYD2 in 2D.  I know there are a lot of people who don’t like 3D so we are going to stick with the basics.

So the details:

Who:  Anyone

What:  Movie afternoon out to see How to Train Your Dragon 2.

When:  Saturday 6/14 @ 5PM, please arrive at 4:30PM.  Plan accordingly to get there so I can hand you, your ticket.

Where:  AMC Southdale in Edina.

Why:  Because we haven’t done this in a while.

Price: $10.75

 

You may have noticed that I said hand you, your tickets.  Anyone who is planning on going I will pick up your ticket for you so you don’t need to worry about tickets selling out.  But I need you to RSVP by NEXT Thursday 6/12.  And please, if you RSVP, show up.  Dropping almost $11 for nothing makes me unhappy.

Afterwards I’m proposing that we head on over to Applebee’s off of Penn Ave for dinner at around 7PMish.

I’m the sort that only goes to a 3D option when there is one. If I’m spending the money and time to hit a theater I want the spectacle. 😛 Especially this one, HTTYD was easily one of the best done 3D movies yet.

I’ve talked to too many people and many can not stand 3D without it giving them headaches.  3D is perfectly fine.  I’m most likely going to be seeing the 3D version friday.  However for community sake we are going to stick with 3D.  Which is cheaper anyways.

Anyone who is interested, we’ll be going there after the movie.  Starts at 5PM, movie is 102 minutes long, add about 10 minutes to it for trailers.  Probably between 7PM-7:30PM we’ll be there.

I’d still considering swinging by tomorrow but I’m gonna wait until next weekend so I can see it with my bf first. :p He ended up working then. It’s set to rain so I’ll probably take a miss on dinner as well.
