ok This is unacceptable this event should have been on the event calendar, I really don’t go to the web site this often.
I will share some of my input here…Ridayah and Kurst gave good feedback so I do not plan to add on to that.
The calendar post was a big concern for a few people…I was hit up on this myself, but there was nothing I could do about it. The event lead wanted to plan and run this on his own and decided not to go through MNFurs…This is fine, it was his decision, not a big deal. This being said, and putting it bluntly, if an event lead does not fill out an event submission, it will not be on the calendar, and it will not have the formal advertisement like MNFurs-sponsored events.
In conclusion to this piece of my post, we really do not want to make exceptions for this without taking the proper routes…This can create a big headache for the Events Dept and on a board level.
At this point, the event lead will have to be creative in advertising their event by him or herself. This person is free to post on the forums, their FA, etc…As a matter of fact, some like to advertise on their own.
For example, I have a birthday dinner next month and I did my own post on it. I also did a small FA post with a link to my post here…Some people will see it and some will not and that is just how it goes. There are people that go to FA more versus the forums and vice versa.
This is my input on the topic…Talli and Pepper, I hope all of this makes sense and if this caused any troubles by not being on the calendar, we apologize.
