* * * * * * * * * *
The sun is going down to be dark soon
The time feared by most around here
Body count is low, but could turn severe
Not a cloud in the sky for a full moon
It’s almost midnight now, walking down 169
Construction is good cover by this bridge
Quiet enough to hear the many flying midge
I can hear it now and my heart races, it’s time
I hear it howling as I hide deep in this underpass
Soon it will get my scent, can’t hide for long
Don’t let fear overwhelm, need to stay strong
I run further down 169 through bushes and grass
I come across paw prints very big in size
I take another route through this rough terrain
Blood pumps hard through my trembling veins
I hope it does not see the fear through my eyes
I run through a patch of thick trees, pacing well
I come to a clearing and stop, out of breath
I don’t sense danger near me nor do I sense death
I stay positive and hope it’s not me that it smells
I then hear a violent growl and quickly I dash
I am then pounced on and held to the ground
Rolled over, I see a big wolf who starts to pound
I am being torn up and but into in a wolf thrash
The city is his domain as he shares with mates
His full moon is the city as he howls happily
Join him and his pack for one or more dates
This wolf is in Minneapolis spreading rapidly
