Is everyone ok after the big storm on the 5th of July?Apart from a couple of our trees going down, all good here.
Thanks for asking
Got lucky at my house and didn’t have any trees down or lose power. Lots of hail but otherwise ok. Hope everyone else is good!Is everyone ok after the big storm on the 5th of July?
Yes, thank you for asking…We had major winds come through with eerie skies. Â Combine that with tons of rain and some hail. Â Lost power only briefly at home and it came back on.

Nothing bad at the place I’m staying now. Â I haven’t had a chance to look at my house that my wife and I just bought, but I’m hoping that’s okay too. Â I will be checking it out late tonight after I get off of work. All is good here… other then 250 feet of steel racking out in the warehouse yard at my work (fleet farm) collapsing/blown over. And several trees down.. Lots of log splitters, ladders, lawn mowers and snow blowers destroyed because of everything collapsing :/My family is now okay! We lost all our power on the first round that hit us at 6. Then after an hour of no power and the storm calming down we got hit again, not as bad as the first but this morning I went into my chicken coop and poor chickens were scattered everywhere, still panicking. We got the power back just an hour ago. Hope anyone who hasnt commented is okay!!
it was not good where I was form me and my mom were getting some bricks at Menards in golden valley, and it was 5’ish when we were done and that was the worst time because we in the car the wind started and it was hell, even a big dumpster was rolling down at are car. Well the good news is that we were OK.I’m ok, there was crazy wind and multiple power surges. Thanks you for asking.Rosemount was out of the way of the big stuff. We had some of high winds and heavy rains, but no hail or tornado’s.The storm that dropped a tornado earlier went right over me, but aside from the lightning distracting me from Overwatch, nothing much.  Dime sized hail and a pretty green “horror survival sky” is about the worst of it we saw."The problem is not that there are too many idiots in the world, the problem is the distribution of lightning."
- Mark TwainI’m good here in Rochester just got hit with sheets of rain and high winds nothing major except visibility was only 50 ft ahead of you driving around 11ishUp in the north, our cabin area was practically surrounded by the (smaller than the one from the cities) storm. Thankfully, it never actually got here, but it did make for a cool little “Circle” surrounding our city on the radar. That being said, we still had power problems, with it literally going off and on again multiple times in the span of ten seconds, making me rush to unplug my Wii U out of fear it would scramble it or something. It came back on around 7 and went off again at midnight, but it seems to be good for now… My anxiety gets really bad when the power goes out, so I’m glad it didn’t go off for long like it did a few weeks ago.- This reply was modified 7 years, 10 months ago by Connor.
Power only went out for half a hour, otherwise some hail, but we are doing okay! Thanks for checking up on everyone 🙂Hope you have a paw-sitive day! nwn
Being up north camping we lucked out. It rained a few times, but never too heavy and not super windy. We could hear powerful sounding thunder not far away, but the heavy stuff completely missed us.Our power did go out at home though in Monticello, and it was out from about 6pm-6am according to my utility company’s emails. Im find out tomorrow if any trees are down or any other damage when my parents go check on it.
