2024 Spring Picnic
Hey there MNFurs community! The warmth of Spring is here, which means it’s time for our annual Spring Picnic! This year we are back at the traditional Skyview Pavilion at French Regional Park! Our grillmasters will be hard at work cooking you up some tasty grub for lunch and dinner, so swing by, bring a dish to share for the potluck, and enjoy a day of fun with your fellow furs! There will also be activities planned throughout the day.
We will be selling MNFurs Merch and limited edition badges at the picnic! Putting these events on costs us money, so if you’d like to give back and get some cool swag, check it out! We also accept cash and card donations on-site.
There will be several volunteer opportunities available as well! Volunteering helps us keep events going, as well as gives you hours towards voting in our elections cycle! Volunteer Opportunities available will be:
Grill master – We are looking for 2 volunteers to assist in working at the grill. We will have plenty of burgers, brats, & hotdogs to cook. We will want our grill master’s to be ready for lunch and dinner hours.
Pre-Setup & Post-Teardown – We always need volunteers who want to help setup before and after the picnic.
If you are planning on joining us this year, RSVP to help us know who’s coming! This is important so that we can get a rough count for the supplies needed. The picnic this year will be hosted by Dirge and Drake. Have questions or want to potentially promote a sub-event at the picnic? Email drake@mnfurs.org or dirge@mnfurs.org. If questions or concerns arise on-site, other MNFurs staff, board members, and convention staff will be available to help if they are not available right away! COVID Protocol:
Individuals are responsible for determining what COVID protocols are best for them. This means that masks are not mandatory, and while we strongly recommend vaccinations, they are not required. Individuals are still welcome to wear masks and take other precautions as deemed necessary.
Pet Policy:
The folks at French Regional Park would like us to remind you that if you plan on bringing your pet, they are required to be always on a leash, and you are expected to clean up after them. Please exercise caution when it comes to your pet interacting with other pets and other community members. If a pet is unsupervised, creating a significant disruption, or is deemed a nuisance, they may be asked to be removed from the venue in the interest of other attendees’ comfort and enjoyment of the event.
