Here’s a blast to the past: OMFG (October Minnesota Furry Gathering) has returned! Join Kellic at the Marshview Group Camp at Baker Park Reserve for a weekend of games, food, movies, campfires, and more! We’ve got a building reserved where folks are welcome to set up camp and enjoy a Halloween-themed weekend! If there’s interest, we’ll also be doing some pumpkin carving! This event is intended to be laid back, and folks are encouraged to come and go as needed. Due to a limitation on the amount of people allowed in the building, RSVPing is highly encouraged.

    For those looking at the google maps photos the barn IS enclosed.  The picture shown is the underside.  The top is enclosed and clean.  🙂  If we get enough people I’m thinking of bringing Halloween lights to hang up, and other fun stuff. So far the plan is music, movies, games, camp fires….no singing…..I don’t want scare people away with that. 😀
    Consider this a dry run to see how people like it.  I’m putting only moderate effort into this as I just wanted to get an idea of this would be fun for folks.  If you like this please give me feedback and I’ll try and arrange this again next year with a bit more thought put into it.

    This sounds interesting. I’m considering swinging by Friday although I don’t think I’d be staying overnight. What sort of games do you have in mind? Is there a table for boardgames and would that be an appropriate activity for this?

    This is going to be a chill weekend.  At least Fri and Saturday will be.  So yeah.  Come whenever.  The only thing to take away is that 12:00 a.m. Sunday we’re closing up shop. I have the furry migration convention review meeting Sunday at 11:00. So I need to be driving out of the park at around 9:30 a.m. Sunday.  Protip:  Don’t overbook yourself like I do. ⚰️💀

    I am going to pack my road bike and longboard in case anyone else wants to bring theirs and hit some of the paved trails. I’ll leave the kayak behind this time… but… I need to learn how to use that thing one of these days.
