Join us for the first session of a multi part series of small courses on getting into photography as a hobby.
This session will cover basic concepts of how a camera works; including a discussion about how a camera uses light captured to expose an image and also to demonstrate depth of field and how that can alter the look of your images based on your aperture, focal length and even camera that was used. There will be a short presentation; following we encourage attendees to apply this knowledge in a hands on demonstration where questions can be answered and applied in our demonstration space where we will have a small table set up with various small subjects to take practice photos of.
A limited amount of loaner equipment will be available for those who need to borrow a camera or want to try a different lens from what they already have. Loaner equipment will be available in the following mounts: Canon EF and RF, Nikon F and Z, and Micro 43rds.
