I’ve been hearing about d n d and kinda interested and what to learn more about itIf you’re curious about learning Dungeons and Dragons, there’s plenty of good resources out there! This one: http://www.wasd20.net/resources/beginners-guide-to-dd-5th-edition/ is one I’ve suggested to a few friends in the past curious about it.I play on a regular basis with my roommates and a few friends. It’s not something you can really learn by talking about it, you’ve just got to hang out and watch it be played a few times and then jump in. If you have a good dungeon master everything will go nice and smooth.

I recommend watching Acquisitions Incorporated on YouTube. It’s run by the senior editor of dungeons and dragons and played by the Penny Arcade guys. Enthralling and should give you a feel of the game.I DM a game on Sundays but we’re pretty full up (6 players) else I’d invite you to join.

- Mark TwainThat should have said “entertaining” lol but enthralling works I suppose."The problem is not that there are too many idiots in the world, the problem is the distribution of lightning."
- Mark TwainIf you’re interested in having a look through some of the game books (players handbook especially) I have almost all of them for 3.5 & 5e in PDF form on my computer that I could add to my Google drive and let you poke through them.Andrew -Â https://atomik.smugmug.com/
Haven’t played in about 20 years but would be interested in seeing how the new editions work, however I tend to be more casual and drink during play. Still looking….Electronic Music - EDM, Industrial, Synth
Nocturnal - You will rarely see me during the day, I work nights
Demi-Sexual - Fun first, flirt later
Foodie - Food Adventures constantly, not a fan of fish thoughI have been playing D&D since blue and red book days. I know 2nd edition and 3.5 best. Not so good at 1st, 4th and 5th. I also know pathfinder extensively (which is a spiritual successor to 3.5 when Hasbro revamped system in 2006.) Which version did you wish to know about?Actually I know Geek Partnership Society has an active pen and paper group that meets Sundays (I think it’s Sundays). A lot of the pen and paper systems are D20 systems and play very similarly (I believe they play a modified variant of Pathfinder, which is a modified continuation of D&D 3.5). That might be a good place to check. Otherwise I’m more than willing to go over the basics with you, I just don’t have room in the current campaign for another player (and my manager has dibs on the next free spot anyway =3 )."The problem is not that there are too many idiots in the world, the problem is the distribution of lightning."
- Mark TwainTo add: I really do prefer pathfinder. I run a “furry” version at other conventions to promote migration as this year has a sort of mythic FRP theme to it. However, everything I do is in the rules, just using some of the lesser known but still core Paizo published books. If you go to meet, I could show you.My roommate actuary just bought some furry RPG books. I don’t recall the name or what platform they run on, but I’ll have to check when I get home tomorrow morning 🙂Andrew -Â https://atomik.smugmug.com/
my guess is that it is Ironclaw…overall good game but not universally played. http://www.sanguinegames.com/ironclaw/my guess is that it is Ironclaw…overall good game but not universally played. http://www.sanguinegames.com/ironclaw/
You’re right, it is Ironclaw. He’s got the players handbook and the gamemasters handbook. I haven’t looked through them yet, but I’m sure I will eventually.

At Gammicon in Iowa in two weeks I’m running a room party & all day furry pathfinder session showing how to make furry characters and how they can improve experience of a pathfinder game. What i usually do to create a custom character that fits player is a two part question, with a follow up of 1-3 additional depending on answers. I never need more than 5 to get good custom fit. First 2 questions.#1. What your characters do vs the enemy? Blast it, heal it, hit it, out-think it? Try to pick one, two if you really feel you are some of one and some of other (be aware this makes you just okay at doing both as oppose to great at just 1)
#2: what is you favored species? really try to pick one as hybrids are much more difficult.
I dunno how relevant this anymore, but there’s a small Pathfinder group that meets Thursdays at the Games by James in the Southdale Mall. If Harry is working, he loves helping people make characters and/or just answer general rp questions. -
