I was browsing Craigslist free stuff and saw a post looking for people to help break the Guinness World Record for longest selfie stick, why this is a record I don’t know, but I thought it might be interesting to contact the organizer and see about having a some suiters show up and be in the selfie.

“We will be breaking the World Record for the longest selfie stick this May at Minnesota Gardens, and are looking for about 200 people to join with us as we set the record.
If you are interested please visit us at our webpage (MNGARDENS dot COM) and fill out the contact form for setting the record. You can bring a sign, sorry nothing political, this is all just for fun and breaking a record.
The paperwork for breaking this record will take about a month so you have plenty of time, and will be held on a Saturday. We will keep you informed as the date gets closer.
Right now the longest selfie stick measures 8.56 m (28 ft 1 in) and was achieved by Ben Stiller (USA) at the premiere of Zoolander No. 2 (Paramount: UK) in London, UK, on 4 February 2016.
We will be breaking the record by a very long distance.
