http://www.goldenwingsmuseum.com/collection/collection.htmI’ve been to this event a few times before, they’ve got a bunch of old military vehicles, re-enactors and planes/jets on display where you can get up close and take a look them. Its also got a museum hangar full of rare and vintage aircraft on display, including 1 of 3 Aerocars in the world.
(Could be an interesting location for a fursuit photoshoot in the future)Looking at doing this on Saturday and meeting around 11am outside the Golden Wings Museum (Map
)Parking and Admission are free but there is a suggested dontation, usually $5-10, per vehicle when entering the airport.
Once inside the airport, follow event staff instructions on where to park.
If you’re coming from the South, be aware 35W in both directions will be closed this weekend.
Right now this is a no fursuits event but if a number of people are interested in suiting, we can try and contact the event organizers and see if we would be welcome. There are a few issues though, lack of changing area, you may park a distance from your car, no shade and a there is a lot of tarmac so it can get warm very quickly.
Sounds like fun! Probably out of suit for my mate and I because one we are black-furred and two the tarmac gets really hot!I’m going to be out of town that weekend, otherwise I’d be all over that. I want to get to more airshows. Have fun!-- MNFurs Photography Head--

Cool. This will be interesting and I’ll meet you there. Is it still a no fursuit event?Right now I would say no to suiting. I haven’t seen enough interest from people. If a bunch of people want to suit I can try contacting the event organizers to get permission.Bump / Anyone else interested? -
