GENERAL:
* Update on mailbox contracting.
* Need to draft general ‘rules of board behavior’ agreed upon.
* Discussion about planning an open forum meeting for furmeet.
* Notification of trying to get logo transferred.
* Discussion on various sample conflict of interest policies for adoption.
* * Motion made to adopt and adapt the MPR version, passes with unanimous votes.
* Discussions for first elections are had. After discussion, Lego and Zmeydros volunteer to be first to step down in 2014.
* Discussion about Cyber stepping down and handling the census.
* Discussion about when to hold board retreat, tabled until later in year.
TREASURY:
* Update on general finances.
* Notification that some bank documents/items say Minnesota Fur vs. Minnesota Furs, being worked out.
* Old budget from steering group ratified with unanimous vote.
WEB/IT:
* Notification of shutdown of steering group aliases.
* Working on building a web team.
* Discussion of requirements for web team.
SECRETARY:
* Board calendar created.
* Have a drafted template for change of ownership of items.
* Work on a staff list has been started.
* Community has agreed to help maintain membership list(s).
COMMUNITY:
* Report on ZooBoo.
* * Notified that Como Zoo may be looking at MNFurs for other items long term, in addition to ZooBoo.
* Report on campfire event.
* Motion was made to research other event ideas that could happen there in the spring. Motion passes unanimously.
* Report on the orchard run.
* Report on Valley Scare.
* Website postings up for subcommittee groups.
* Discussion on needs of subdivisions of community group.
* Discussion of volunteer hours for quartermaster position.
CON:
* Update on con charter development.
* Current revision of con charter reviewed.
* Discussion of potential names.
* Discussion on con chair and nominations, and names submitted.
