GENERAL:
* The logo files were received from the original creator.
* Final review of the conflict of interest policy.
* Reviewed ideas for “MNFurs Ambassador” buttons.
* * Voted to get roughly 1 dozen buttons for board and staff.
* Discussion on ideas for MNFurs business cards.
* Discussion on ‘extra rewards’ for those who work for con, and decided that we provide voting hours as per bylaws but nothing else.
* Note made to ensure events have sign in sheets.
TREASURY:
* Review of account status.
* Significant discussion on c3 vs c7 options and the various benefits.
* * Notified that most furry cons are c7, and easier to network with other cons if c7.
* * Vote tabled until more information from IRS reviewed via email.
WEB/IT:
* Notice of still looking for someone to run the census.
SECRETARY:
* Notes about upcoming board retreat, setting date for early February.
* Plans set for Friday night through Sunday morning.
* Question raised: Ask for GPS representative to help get ball rolling?
* * After discussion, only for the first part of the first day to get things started on the right foot.
* Kellic looking into hotel for board members to check out rooms for the retreat.
COMMUNITY:
* Review of the holiday party – great turnout!
* Made note that events need to be documented better, in getting feedback on how event was run/etc.
* Talk about Winter Carnival, unlikely to happen due to insurance requirement.
* * Suggested may do ZooBoo instead later in the year.
* * Advise that if people are to go, they do it on a personal basis.
* Quartermaster has signed duties agreements.
* Discussion on Drake’s midwinter event, Rida and Kurst to meet with Drake for more information.
* Notification of Yassik’s sushi event on Jan 26th at Kyoto Sushi.
* Discussion about moving forward on spring picnic.
* Decided that, due to history, picnics are direct MNFurs event and run differently from the events team.
* Reported on progress of community charter and job descriptions for events staff positions.
* Notified that ‘research’ department was removed.
* Notified that individuals want to discuss volunteer hours.
CON:
* Hunting down Registration heads.
* Hunting down hotel and contracts, having some issues getting responsiveness.
* Looking at logos for convention.
