Hello!
My name is Jennifer, and myself and three (actual) rat boys (Charlie, Reggie, and Sir Name) are heading back to MN after a brief stint in IL. I was up there three years previously, and left in April due to needing to find grounding with my two best friends I left to try to overcoming an event that occurred in MN in 2012. I have a tendency to ‘mark’ places as bad when I can’t deal with events that occurred within them, and eventually flee from them to never return. However, I’ve had a deep seeded love for MN since I was 18 years old that keeps me feeling home sick for it, and I have decided to return, having finally worked through things.
I have stayed connected to this thread since I left, and WOW are there a TON of new people. I guess I’ll also throw down a few things about myself for them. I identify mostly as an artist, having reworked my fursona after 12 years of being a purple wolf to now being a lynx/caracal I feel on something of a new path with my art, and myself. I have come to like board games and video games a lot more than I thought I would, but I play them purely for fun, because good gravy, do I SUCK at them. I feel I want to mention I have cerebral palsy, because it makes me easy to spot if you look for a brace on my left leg. It’s covered in stickers, usually, though I need to redo it. I wonder if an MN sticker is a thing…
That is all!
Thank you,
Jenn
SO MUCH CHEESE!
Yip! Welcome back! I’ve loved this place since moving in February, and perhaps things will work out this time around?Anyway, I’m a big classic video game collector, myself. Hopefully we’ll get to meet at one of the events, and discuss games, both board and video-wise, sometime? =^_^=
That would be really cool. So far, I own only a few games, but there is one I’m madly passionate about called ‘The Cure’, which is pandemic, but with dice. Have you ever played that? There is an awful lot to love about MN. In many ways, I hate it here in IL, million reasons to not like it, but more than anything it’s more that there’s 3 million reasons to love MN.
Look forward to meeting you!
SO MUCH CHEESE!
I learned this weekend that the nature trails along lake Superior are definitely in that list! Long and exhausting, but very fun, with beautiful waterfalls.I’ve heard of The Cure, but can’t say I’ve played it. The newest one I’ve played is Boss Monster. A bit nerdy, I know, but still fun in my opinion!
Where in Illinois do you currently reside, at least before your move back?
I live out in Morris, IL. About 2 hours outside of Chicago. Maybe 30 minutes westish of Joliet.SO MUCH CHEESE!
