Hey all. I have set up a modded Minecraft server. I’m using the Direwolf20 modpack for 1.12.2 (the recommended build in the curse/twitch launcher, currently 1.2.0). The address is http://minecraft.mnwolf.com (default port, 25565) and that is also where you can view an online map of the server (currently default world isn’t auto-loading, select MWGPublic/overworld from the bar on the right). This is a friendly server and I’d like to grow a nice community town.
There are some non-furs on the server as well (Rick from consuite and a mutual friend of ours). My only real rule is Wheaton’s Law: Don’t be a dick.
Come one, come all! …. admittedly I don’t know the full limits of my server hardware so try not to break the wolf. An undiscovered forest fire brought it to its knees once already.

- Mark Twainso what is the server address I’m not seeing it the link you provided? only a map of the world and people moving around. this pack seems to be interesting to play on been playing the foolcraft 2 mod pack for awhile and need a change.Might have to check this out at some point. Lately I only play expert mode packs for the challenge (currently hosting an All The Mods Expert Remastered server), but when I’m finished with it all check yours out for sure!Andrew -Â https://atomik.smugmug.com/
The server address is the same as the map. Technically it’s minecraft.mnwolf.com:25565 but it’s the default port for Minecraft so you can leave the port number off when you enter it in Minecraft. As long as you use the Direwolf20 pack you should be fine."The problem is not that there are too many idiots in the world, the problem is the distribution of lightning."
- Mark TwainOk will try to login when I get off work !Sev and I will probably try this out once our finals are over.I used to run a server for a small group of people off of an old laptop I kept online 24/7 in the basement, and didn’t run into performance issues unless I forgot to do a weekly, or sometimes twice-weekly) power cycle. Things were always stable, and there were rarely latency problems. Granted, no more than like 7 people were ever connected at a time and the game wasn’t modded, so I’m not sure how relevant my anecdote is.In any case, I’ll be sure to check the server out! I’ve been meaning to get back into the game, and I have a hard time investing in single player worlds.

As Cvoid said, I’ll probably try this out.Rawr!
This is the same server that used to run the MN Brony server “New Equestria” and that one was pretty active, but that was also around MC 1.4 or so. I also ran their Mumble server at the same time. Since then the mods have gotten a lot more sophisticated and a lot more, well, more. It can chug at times but it’s holding its own so far.I used to run a server for a small group of people off of an old laptop I kept online 24/7 in the basement, and didn’t run into performance issues unless I forgot to do a weekly, or sometimes twice-weekly) power cycle. - Mark TwainI should add that yes, it is in my basement. But it is an ex bank (we think) HP ProLiant enterprise server."The problem is not that there are too many idiots in the world, the problem is the distribution of lightning."
- Mark TwainThe modpack version has been updated to Direwolf20112-1.4.0-1.12.2. I have also now included the optional Tails cosmetic mod (https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/tails). Tails is not required to join the server, but if you do add the mod you will see everyone else’s selected tails (and ears, muzzle, wings) as well.- This reply was modified 6 years, 4 months ago by Shoku.

I feel like this should have been common sense, but it’s rather disrespectful to go into someone’s base and start killing their pets. Don’t do that."The problem is not that there are too many idiots in the world, the problem is the distribution of lightning."
- Mark Twainhey you guys still play on that sever?NopeÂ
I see a few hop on now and then, yes. I’ve been too busy getting ready for CONvergence to be on much myself lately but the server is still alive."The problem is not that there are too many idiots in the world, the problem is the distribution of lightning."
