Hello,
Just want to say today is the election day and I hope people will take the chance to vote. While it seems like it doesn’t matter as we learned from other votes across the world – it does.
And before you go look up the local elective officials. They make as much or more impact on your life than you believe. If you don’t know who to vote on those. Not voting for anyone is an option, an informed vote is better than no vote here.
So hope the elections go smooth and please take the time to vote.

Very much this! Voting is what makes this country what it is, and is where you get to have your say in what goes on in our world, big and small. So please, go out and vote! Make a difference in your world, and the world around you!I’d like to ask if anyone knows any good voting guides. I think everyone already has mentally locked in their choice for president, but it would be nice to have a more educated and detail view of who the candidates are in other positions that will be on our ballot. There was a site somewhere two years ago for midterm elections that broke down all of the positions and candidates…
I’ve seen a few people on twitter saying “I’m not voting because I don’t like either candidate”But please remember, there’s a whole lot more on the ballot than presidential candidates. There’s a state constitutional amendmant, Congress seats, and all sorts of local stuff depending on your precinct (county commissioner, city council, school board, etc). As Kurst said, these local elections have much more impact than you think.
So, go vote. Leave the presidential section empty if you must, but go vote locally.
there’s a whole lot more on the ballot than presidential candidates.
Yep!

Well said, Kurst. 🙂Every vote counts, and they make a huge difference in the impact of our country’s future, so go vote today while you still can!
Did an in-person absontee ballot. Had my vote in weeks ago. 🙂 Saved me all the hassle of today!Well no matter who you were rooting for I think it’s safe to say no one expected these results.Donald Trump won the electoral vote.
Hillary Clinton won the popular vote.
The vote for the Senate and the House could be summed up as “no change” in that the majority of incumbents kept their seats. To everyone who got their way, congratulations. To everyone who didn’t, remember that Democrats survived 8 years of President Bush and Republicans survived 8 years of President Obama.
