Elections Are Here!

2015 was a big year for MNFurs! We returned to the Saint Paul Winter Carnival Parade, had an article published in the Star Tribune, and successfully moved our convention, Furry Migration, to a new hotel and had our attendees grow by almost 30%. We strengthened our relationship with the Como Zoo and returned in force to help at this year’s Zoo Boo. We also saw the creation of monthly clubs for book worms, foodies, and movie goers. And let’s not forgot about fursuit bowling!

We would like to thank everyone who’s made it all happen. Without your dedication and your passion, none of this would be possible. We would also like to remind you that if you have helped out at one of our events, to please remember to log into your account and submit your hours. All you have to do is be logged in, click the drop down in the top right corner, and select “Your MNFurs Membership”. Then just click the “Enter Hours” tab. Once you have twenty volunteer hours you are eligible to participate in our yearly board elections!

Speaking of…

Our election cycle has kicked off. Directors Legonnare and Yarrick have decided they will not be running for re-election. We would like to thank both of them for all they have done for our group and wish them well going forward. Additionally, Director Aerak is stepping down for personal reasons. This means that we will have three open seats on our board. If you or someone you know has the necessary volunteer hours and is interested in taking a direct role steering and shaping our organization, we urge you to step forward. With new people coming into the board comes new ideas and fresh perspectives. MNFurs cannot exist without people like you to step forward and carry the torch.
