Hey fighting game player here, I played guilty gear xrd rev2 so much in the local scene that I injured my thumb lol. I mostly play smash ultimate and a little soul Calibur with friends lately. Trying to start learning to draw instead, I’m still interested in seeing if anyone else here partakes in fighters, past, present, or maybe future?

Me for sure.I do, but work has been eating a lot of my time! I’ve played SC, SF, MK, Smash.~ YellowEars
Cool, what games, athame?Borf Borf
New smash is so fun! This is first one Nintendo made that I really like. I play dk, snake, ganondorf, Captain falcon, and mess with a few others. Rikku, I’m a nightmare main in SC.Borf Borf
I love both SoulCalibur and Smash though I only have Smash at the moment. At that game, I’ve played Pikachu, King K Rool, and after version 2.0 now I think I’ll be maining Yoshi. After getting a few matches in online, I know I have a ways to go before I really get to smashing people the way I want to.Cool, all of the characters from the first game seem easy to use, powerful, and fun to play, I prefer Pichu to Pikachu though, if I gotta pick a mouse. Yoshi’s meteor smash is getting better in the next patch (≧∇≦). Nice to see people enthusiastic about fighters here! does anyone follow the competitive scenes at all? ( ゚д゚)Borf Borf
Also I don’t have smash but I have sc6, Tekken, guilty gear xrd, and thems fighting herds on PC. Oh and s Street fighter five but I’m not terribly fond of that one.Borf Borf
Soul Calibur, Street Fighter, and Killer Instinct are my jams mostly. Though I don’t play them online with people and am nowhere near a professional level of play or anything. Been a fighting game player since the day I walked into an arcade back in the day. Consoles have, unfortunately, eliminated a lot of the camaraderie that used to come from such venues and playing people side by side. But I still have fun playing them. I’ve dabbled in way more fighters than that, but those have been my current ones when I play.Innouva killer instinct is really well designed, if we’re taking about that hot new reboot. Not my cup of tea but I adore all the love they put into that one. There’s still places to play in person but it’s rougher these days for sure. Online can be… Frustrating. I get it. Would be cool to talk to some of y’all in person at the next shindig or something.Borf Borf
I mean, it’s hardly a “new” reboot. 2013. But yes, it’s a fantastic fighter and one of the better looking ones on the market. Also the soundtrack is pure <3 But yeah, I’ll never play online for various reasons. Connection and netcode issues, occasional cheaters/lag switchers, and some people just have awful sportsmanship win or lose. Not to mention sometimes matchmaking can frustratingly put a super good player up against an average player and it’s just a no contest and that’s no fun. XDI love fighting games even though I’m no good at them. I’m known to main anyone who mostly uses kicks (Street Fighter examples: Chun Li, Cammy, Elena) but avoid playing online for the reason Innouva gave. The matchups are only rarely balanced.I do enjoy some SoulCalibur online if only to see what characters people have created. I actually main a Nyan Cat Voldo. (Yes, I’m actually good with Voldo.)
Street Fighter main: any girl with kicks. Smash main: Bowser or Yoshi. SoulCalibur main: Voldo. Tekken main: Lee. Darkstalkers main: Rikuo. Fighting EX Layer main: Doctrine Dark, Sharon and Pullum Puruna.
