Now that I’ve settled into this new state, and found such a friendly group to spend time with, I believe it’s time for me to get off my tail and look into getting a suit.

I have seen different FN suit commissioners, but would rather be interested in hearing from everyone’s experience which might be best for me.

I have a friend that is trying to make their own, and I’ve considered that, but I don’t know if that would be better in the long run, hence all of my costuming experience comes from small anime convention costumes.

Do any of y’all have any preference in whom to try? I would be happy to support local suit makers too, if possible.

Most of mine are not local, but figure I’d throw some out to ya. Again, it’s more about personal taste, unless of course you’re more into having something quick.  Speed varies per maker due to their wait queues.

http://www.morefurless.com/  –  Really awesome suits and can have adjustable facial features if you like something a bit more unique.

http://www.madefuryou.com/  – Well-established maker in the fandom, cute work.

http://mixedcandymascots.tumblr.com/  – Another established and well-known maker with some nice work and style. (Link kinda broke, but they have a menu there regardless that takes you to things.)

http://www.sunnyvalleyc.com/  – Maker that’s caught my attention a bit more as of late. Also just finished a suit for Kapuki in our local community, who I believe is going to the bowling on the 18th.

And if you want local makers, the probably more recommended ones are:

    http://phoenixwolfsuits.com/

And yeah, I could keep going, but I’ll leave it that. Again, expect your average suit to cost between 1000-1500 for a partial and 1500 on up for a full (usually closer to $2000-2500).  Prices fluctuate between makers, and complexity of your design.  Goodluck on this when you go for it Red.

Thanks Innouva! This gives great insight on what to look for, and a goal in mind with the profits I get from my hobby!

Is merely a sample. There are hundreds of suit makers out there. These are just a few of the ones I like.
