I’ve got an idea for a panel at Furry Migration but I need your help, if you’ve got a suit from a big name maker* or are a local maker and might be interested, read on.
* I’m looking for suits from big name/local makers to be on the panel because they will provide the most relevant content for attendees who may be looking to buy a suit. Everyone is invited to the post panel Q&A to show their work.
The goal of my panel, “Meet Your Maker” is to provide potential comissioners information (good/bad/etc.) from suit owners before they go out and spend thousands of dollars on a suit.
The first part of the panel will consist of a guided discussion about the process of comissioning your suit, a top to bottom review of the finished product (fit, comfort, vision, etc.). The second part will be an open meet & greet session open to all Makers/Owners where attendees can talk to individual suit owners/makers, ask questions and AT THE SUIT OWNER’S DISCRETION examine the suits hands on.
If you’re interested, have questions or know someone who might be interested, please email me buckeyejackalopeATgmail.com BEFORE JULY 4TH.
I love this ideaThat might be a cool panel! =^*^=Consider my interest piqued. I sent you an email."The problem is not that there are too many idiots in the world, the problem is the distribution of lightning."
- Mark TwainThis sounds like a great panel.I’ve got a few people interested, still looking for more.Looking at the schedule, it looks like this didn’t make it in?I got too busy helping with the con videos and there wasn’t much interest from people willing to be panelists. Will try to do it again next year though.Oh, that’s too bad. I was actually trying to convince the maker of my suit to drive up to attend this panel (with me wearing one of her suits) and even have a dealers table, but it was a hard sell. Perhaps this is all for the better – I have another year to convince her! 🙂Typically you have to register for vendor space pretty early on anyway."The problem is not that there are too many idiots in the world, the problem is the distribution of lightning."
