My name’s Logan, and I’m a senior at the University of Minnesota studying journalism. Currently, I’m working on the final project for my magazine writing class. It is a feature that explores how certain subcultures have grown out out of the internet or their organization and formation have been significantly impacted by the internet. The subcultures I’d like to write about are people who experience ASMR, bronies, and furries.
I was wondering if anyone would be willing to talk to me about the furry subculture. I’d like to know more about its history, especially in regards to the internet, common beliefs and values, personal experiences, and whatever else you would like to share. Getting the perspective of someone involved in the subculture would help me to write an informative and engaging story that accurately represents the furry community.
