Since I don’t know anyone personally yet. I’m not sure who to ask. So if anyone would like to chat with me sometime. Feel free to email me(address is in my profile) or contact me on Facebook or contact me through this site/forum. I’m not on other social media/text sites yet, but am going to branch out soon(fingers crossed). And it’d be nice to know at least one person, since I’m pretty shy at first, and I need to get over that, and knowing at least one person will really make me feel more comfortable.
For example, I’d love to attend an event when I’m free. But since I don’t know anyone yet. I’m a bit reluctant, since it’s a fear of rejection issue that plagues me, thanks to depression which keeps telling me not to go anywhere or meet anyone. I’m trying to change that however. 🙂
I am wondering as well. It seems to be a very accepting community and has room for everyone. the thing is, there is not a lot of discussion about anything besides the events that take place around the Minneapolis area. Can we not discuss things that, as the community designated, are pg-13? I would like to get to know people better as well.King of The Yogurt Kingdom
Simply put, in my own words, MNFurs is a friendly community of people who share the popular common interest of being a furry. This also stems from the anthropomorphic interests…Examples of this include artwork in the forms of writing, visual work such as drawing, 3D rendering, plus others, and creating an animal version of yourself. With this, MNFurs helps bring forth the awareness of this community, what we represent, and so on.We do many events around the metro such as fundraising events, picnics, and so on. Our biggest events are the picnics we do. We do a fall and spring one and get many to show up as well as from our neighboring states. Another fun one we do is during part of the winter and early Spring at Petco. This is part of a fundraiser event where fursuiters draw in crowds to help raise money for their non-profit. Other events happen too such as movie nights, fursuit bowling, dinner outings and so on. 🙂

To Vixen Christina, I know what it’s like to be new to the community as I was there myself back in 2012. You do not know anyone, you wonder what people may think of you, and so on…It’s tough at first, but there is a way to help with this. I suggest that once you start coming to the bi-weekly meets and other events that you talk to a couple of people. Start out simple by introducing yourself, share some interests, and see what happens from there. Eventually you will find some people you can click with.
To share from my own personal experiences, I started off by going to the Fall Picnic back in 2012…I was very nervous as I knew no one and the people I spoke to online I did not have a face to put with the name. Eventually some of these people I spoke to online found me and I got to slowly know them more in person. Afterwards I started to unwind and was more chipper with other people. That is when my journey began to where I am now so this is what I want for you.
Please keep in mind that I am always available if you need someone to talk to. You can PM me here, note me on FA, e-mail, Skype, etc. I am also running the Loring Park fursuit romp this Saturday so if you can make it, we can chat then as well. 🙂
As an MNFurs staff member, Furry Migration staff member, and active community member, I am always around for questions!

To Yuri, we want to keep topics of discussion in the more PG realm. I am suggesting that if you have topics more on the edge of mature content, please keep it off the forums.
As I said to Vixen above, I am available if you ever need someone to talk to!
On an end note for the both of you, I hope this helps in regards to your above posts. Feel free to reply here for any further clarification! 🙂

It’s one of the things – it just need to get the ball rolling. In the past we had more discussions on various subjects but in the last year or so we haven’t seen as much discussion. I think we will have more topics and discussions when people as people just well talk.
Note: For more adult conversation and topics we actually do have a “mature adult” area for that https://www.mnfurs.org/groups/topics-and-events-for-18/ we just ask that art on the site stay in the pg-g area since we do have minors and this also allows us to have a wide variety of hosting options.

Every time I enter in the link, I get the error, page doesn’t exist message when clicking the link. I’m not sure what’s going on there.

It looks like you are putting the whole url – not your profile name. Try just christina.koenig.73 which should bring your profile up.
