I know there’s a good few furs here locally who play Ingress and at the last Picnic I held an event for ingress agents, special mission as well as encouraging friendly competition over the Portals around the Picnic (which ended up ultimately being Held by the Resistance)
There will be an Anomaly style competition at Migration.. here are the details:
Type: Cluster
There will be 10 portals within the boundary zone, 6 will be made public prior to the start of the event, whilst 4 will be available to factions via “dead drop” inside the con space (think small manila pouch hidden in public areas (not panel rooms, event rooms, gaming, etc) which will reveal the location of the remaining 4.
Note: As this is unofficial the portals will bear no outward markings showing them, communication with fellow agents to hold these portals is STRONGLY encouraged.
The event will be 2 hours long, with measurements every 20 minutes (except when event starts and ends, basically the starting hour and end hour marks) totaling 5 measurements. Measurements are taken in a 5 minute period at any time during that period.
Points:
5 points per portal held
1 point per Link incoming to that portal
1 point for each field off of a portal
Base points: 250 (10 portals x 5 points x 5 measurements)
Boundaries:
North – South Boundaries: From S 12th, Yale Street south to and including W 14th Street.
East – West Boundaries: Nicollet Mall and Nicollet Ave S west to and including Willow Street.
Note: 1/2 of the portals will be in the Nicollet Green Way, 1/2 being in publicly accessible areas (such as from stidewalks)
Final Note: I will not be participating in order to remain neutral.
