I was contacted by One Fur All a couple days ago about a commission I inquired on. It’s the first time I’ve gotten a response from them since trying to message them years ago while looking for a fursuit maker.
I like the quality of the suits I’ve seen on their site. However, their long wait times have me concerned, and I just read a really negative thread here https://artists-beware.dreamwidth.org/1445587.html?page=1#comments that concerns me. The wait time estimate I was given was 18-24 months, but it looks like they may not stick to those estimates unless their business model has improved since then.
I haven’t submitted a deposit yet, since I want to thoroughly research beforehand and I would hate to get ripped off. Unfortunately most other commissioners are closed for new suits, though I’ll keep my eye out.
Who would you recommend that has great quality suits?
If you really love their style and are very patient, then by all means try to get in their queue. Just don’t be surprised if you have to wait 2-3 years. Their suits overall are pretty good. But as with any suit; if you wear it enough you will require some fairly regular maintenance. My suit is by them and I waited 2 years and 1 month for mine. That was with a good bit of poking and prodding at them. Their staff has changed again since then, so I don’t know the exact wait times. It was 6 years of waiting for me. I have heard they have gotten better.I used Komickrazi Studios myself. They were fairly fast (less than a year I think) and I loved the quality. Only thing I want to change are my footpaws because they just have a flat piece of rubber on the bottom (I did ask for durable)."The problem is not that there are too many idiots in the world, the problem is the distribution of lightning."
