Alrighty, I got my resin head in the mail a week ago and Getting ready to do up my suit. I know where I can get most of the stuff I need but a few things are bugging me.
1, Balaclava. where can I get one and what’s a good one to get?
2, foam (not styrofoam or the kid mat stuff). I had some for another costume project a few years back but cannot remember where I got it. It was green and like 2 feet by 2 feet by 4 inches. It’s bugging the hell outa me.
Give a bird a hand please.
Well the foam you can get at most fabric stores (JoAnn, Handcock, what have you). It’s generally sold as upholstery foam. If your concern with the balaclava is sweat control, I’d go with a hunting store like Cabelas or Gander Mountain and get something from the “base layer” category. The more expensive ones will have scent eliminating technologies but the cheaper ones should work fine. You can actually get a full body suit of that stuff which works really well if you intend to get a full fursuit at some point."The problem is not that there are too many idiots in the world, the problem is the distribution of lightning."
- Mark TwainA yard of upholstery foam is really cheap but very good quality at home depot.http://m.homedepot.com/p/Future-Foam-3-in-Thick-Multipurpose-Foam-10030BULK3/203837114?cm_mmc=SEM

Im a total trash mammal.
Thats where I got the foam, JoAnn. thanks guys.On a side note, if you don’t have one, grab a cheap electric turkey carver. Best tool I’ve ever used to roughly shape foam (aside from maybe this electric heat foam cutter I just got. Made for insulation foam board, have yet to try it on soft foam)."The problem is not that there are too many idiots in the world, the problem is the distribution of lightning."
