There is a sort of unspoken tradition with MNfurs going to Midwest FurFest — especially those who roadtrip there — where by pure coincidence we all stop at a highway rest stop in Illinois called “The Oasis” and have lunch together on the way back from con on Monday.

This has been going on for many MFFs now, and I think it’s a lot of fun to see everyone and talk about our con experiences on our way back to Minnesota, but now I think it’s time we make it an official/unofficial meetup, or at least spread awareness of its occurance.
At this point since I brought it up so early there really is no actual planning for this, but I thought I would get talk about it started so that closer to contime people could plan accordingly.
Thoughts?
Bumpity bump bump.Since most people will be likely checking out and heading for home around 11 am ish, how would a meetup between 12-1 pm sound?
I just did a little research into the Oasis, and it looks like the first one northbound on I90 from the O’Hare area, the Des Plains Oasis, has been torn down since last year. Sad! The next Oasis on I90 is an hour out, the Belvidere Oasis. Would that one be doable for people?
Sounds interesting. Thinking of a certain time?Maybe.I guarantee nothing. XP
