– MNFurs 2018 Holiday Party ~ The Gift Exchange –

– HELLO EVERYONE! –

 

Hey there!  It’s time to talk about the very fun activity that is the gift exchange.  We have done this in the past and is a fun tradition for all of our Holiday Party.  This is a game where you are given a number and when your number is called, you grab a gift.  The detailed instructions for this will be outlined below.

HOW TO PLAY:

Each participant will wrap a gift ranging from $5 to $20.  You also have the option to make a gift too for anyone feeling creative or donate an item.  Each person will be given a piece of paper and it will have a number on it.  When your number is announced you will grab a gift from the table and open it for everyone to see.  When the next person goes they have the option to take your gift or take an unopened present from the table.  If your gift is taken then you will grab another unopened present, you cannot take it back.  The game continues on ’till the last unopened present is off the table.

GIFT EXCHANGE TIME FRAME:  5:00 – 6:00

In order to participate in the gift exchange there will have a sign up sheet at a table by the Christmas tree.  Snow will be running this and will help get people signed in as well as answer any questions here and at the party.  For this activity to be fair, you must have a gift to participate.

NOTE:  Please do not post here to sign up, this will be done on site!

A number will be given to you after you sign up.  Yes, you bring a present between a $5-$20 value, make your own, or donate something of yours you do not want.

Of course it would have to be a defalt color since I wont know who is getting it but I was just curious  🙂

I’m still hammering out the details of the drawing (last year’s method was only part of what I had planned), but there will be a random order chosen one way or the other.

– UPDATE –

 

Hey there!  As an update, I have made a change to the gift exchange time frame.  As stated in my initial post, the gift exchange will start at 5:00 and this usually takes around an hour to do.  😀
